「We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old Mill. We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place」

「Our family stayed at Swartberg Country Manor for one night in February. The first thing that greeted us was the beautiful grounds, and restaurant with a stunning view of the mountain. Then we saw a beautiful historic house with a big old stoep; here we enjoyed 3 very comfortable rooms. And let me not forget the kind and professional staff, including their head chef who made the most wonderful 3 course dinner! A gem! Thank you for a lovely stay. 」

「Calvinia hotel was like an oasis in the desert. Comfortable, cool and comforting. We had to book for our return trip as well.」

「Amazing location if you wish to disconnect from the city life. You’ll have to drive about 12km on a gravel road after you go through the main gate (this is where google map stops). I recommend a car with good ground clearance (Toyota cross worked great for me). The night sky is very clear if you’re a stargazer and the SALT Telescope is about 45 mins drive. The food is great and the cottages are clean and tidy. They also have safari trips since this is a private game reserve. It gets pretty...
