This manor was absolutely lovely and the perfect quiet stay for our group of 3 after leaving behind the hustle and bustle of London. The rooms were spotless, the hosts very accommodating (we had a transportation situation to figure out and the host graciously offered to call a taxi company and help figure it out for us), and the gorgeous manor and its surroundings allowed for the most charming, tranquil stay. We loved our time here and would recommend it to anyone!

A world away from the busy A1, yet only 5 minutes drive The hotel building had great character, the owner was very friendly and the breakfast first class ....and a peaceful flower filled garden to sit in

Amazing manor dating primarily from the 1660's that has been beautifully restored into a great accommodation venue. Everything from facilities to breakfast was fantastic and there's a lovely pub within a 5 minute walk for dinner

Superb amazing place !!

Excellent warm cosy hotel , hosts fantastic as we were a bit late arriving and missed the local for foood offered to make something for us but did not want to put them out so ordered take-away , room was superb and breakfast amazing will definitely stay again .

Wonderful stay for a wedding

Absolutely delightful stay. There's so much charm and history at the Allington Manor. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating, and the daily English Breakfast was top notch! If we ever find ourselves in this part of the world again we will definitely be back!

A gem just off the A1

This place is a little gem. We had a very comfortable night in the Footman’s room. Breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful rooms, friendly people, great breakfast

We had a great stay at Allington Manor. It is situated in a lovely little village, which is nice to have a walk around. Breakfast is very good with nice, quality ingredient and everyone was friendly, attentive and nice to talk to. The features of the building make it a unique experience compared to staying in many other places. Would love to stay again when in the area

We loved this amazing manor house, the setting is idyllic. The attention to detail is fantastic. The owners are so helpful and the service is outstanding. We have already promised to return. We would recommend staying here to everyone.

We had an excellent stay at Allington Manor. The location is beautiful. You are immersed in history, in a tastefully renovated room. Leo is very welcoming and friendly. A must if you're ever in the area!

No formal reception but you push the doorbell and are greeted very well. Shown to our room (Lords) and the owner explained how things worked including getting a good evening meal at the pub about 400 feet away! Owners were very helpful with a couple of questions we had and breakfast was excellent (we only had omlettes but other guests had a full English). We would definitely stay again.

What a lovely place to stay. Steeped in history and and a fantastic old building. Leo, who ran the place was a fantastic host and served us a lovely breakfast that left us full for the day. The place was spotless, the bed was huge and comfy and the local pub just a minutes walk was great. We only live 35mins away but will be back.

Great stay in a very well maintained historic building. Made a nice change to the typical hotel stopover. Absolutely spotless which must be difficult considering. Would definately recommend - breakfast good but note that there is no restaurant dining but local pub and alternatives relatively close by.

Wonderful

Absolutely beautiful house, great location, lovely pleasant staff delicious breakfast Stairs a little steep to the attic but all added to the experience of staying in such a beautiful stone house. We will come back here in a heartbeat although we will stay in one of the much bigger luxurious rooms below next time.

We stayed in the Footman's room in the attic. Good size, nice shower. A bit fresh in January until the heating came on. We saw inside the Lady's Room - looked very nice. Good breakfast. Very friendly.

This is a lovingly restored old manor house. We stayed in the Lords Room, a very large room with many period features but modern bathroom. The owners were welcoming and the breakfast exceptional. Although it has no restaurant, there is a pub, Welby Arms 200 yards away where we ate dinner. It was outstanding in every way - food portion size, quality and service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Allington Manor. 10/10

This is a must-try accomodation

The perfect blend of classic and modern, this accommodation has an excellent location and charming vintage ambiance coupled with modern amenities. The space was immaculately cleaned and well-maintained. I was so impressed by the incredibly comfortable bed, which is perfect for anyone like me who deals with lower back pain. The quiet location ensured I had restful sleep. I also tried the full English breakfast, which was really delicious. I travel to this area twice a year for work and will definitely be staying at this wonderful place again soon.

Small, very friengly owner, clean well equiped room, although quite small, minimal hanging space for 2 if you stayed for several days. Excellent breakfast. The room was advertised as accommodating 3 people but it was only a 2 person room, no room for a third bed.

Spent 1 night well visiting friends in the area. Had a lovely room. Lots of character. Steep stairs up to our room on 3rd floor. Owner helped to get luggage up and offered to bring down when the time came. Lovely breakfast. No supper served but a great local pub down the street with lots of selection and good food.
