Hot & Smelly
Ibis‘ slogan on the room key is „Lets get in“. Well for us it was - LETS GET OUT. Smelly room. Bedding / towels smelled as well - like cigarette odor. The room was equipped with air conditioning, but guest have no control over it and the system was turned off. We were told to wait - the temperature will drop later in the evening. When we arrived it was 86 degrees F. One and only time at Ibis Bugdet. You what get what you pay for I suppose …

Stayed here, expensive parking, rooms extremely basic, was bitten several times during the night, so unsure how clean the mattress etc were. Location was easy, that’s about the best I can say for it.

Very unpleasant check-in process. The weekend receptionist (IBIS) was very rude and impolite. He even went so far as to say that I am not his client, that his client is the reservation center... I couldn't believe it, what training is that?

Calm serene comfy tiny room close by Forum
Last minute reservation for a conference at the Forum, i was lucky and was given the high floor and a corner room, tiny with the bed occupying 90% of the room. Comfy calm practical. I loved the place and the stay. Will return. Thank you

The location is way outside of Bern it was ridiculous to get a taxi from the station.

Good evening, Thank you for your comment. We are 10min from the center of the city of Friborg and we have the highway 5min drive from the hotel which goes direction berne. If you do not have the car it is true that it is a little more complicated to go to Bern. We hope to see you again in our hotel. Best regards.

Friendly staff. Newly renovated. Restaurant right across. Very convenient. The elevator however can get busy real fast in the morning. Worth the money.

Area around the hotel did not offer anything in the way of dining . We did not have an evening meal during our stay. Hotel was clean enough and breakfast was ok but we did not expect to have to pay for parking either - although this was not very much

Great reception from the man at the entrance: efficient, friendly, useful, quick, supportive. Nice halls, great security protecting access to the floors with the room key. Practical, clean room with everything I needed (bathroom, WiFi, television, duvet, etc.) and comfortable even if a small space. Window that opens two ways. And I appreciate so much that the floors were parquet (Not carpet!) so much more hygienic.

It's sparkling new and modern. I like the night light over the bed and electric plug for charging phones. I didn't like that you couldn't fully open the window. It was very hot and hardly any air was coming in. The air conditioning wasn't very good and I had a hard time sleeping. I was also disappointed at the use of plastic cups wrapped in plastic in the bathroom. You can use washable plastic or glass tumblers instead. No need to use throw-away plastics.

Nice place. We initially thought to have booked the up level Ibis next door, but were pleasantly surprised by the budget version of that brand. Check in was ok .. no parking included 11$, but breakfast was included. Quiet rooms, small, clean, simple. It could use an extra on or two towels. Great breakfast with friendly server.

Great value for money, efficient, clean
One night stop in the middle of a long road trip. Very close to the motorway, free car park (not frequent in Switzerland). Standard service from Ibis Budget. Basic but good value for money.
