Absolutely as amazing as its pictures. Our hosts were lovely and the location was amazing. The hosts English is very good and he is always there at breakfast asking about our days activities and sharing his experiences. The best ever!

First time in a Gite

A nice stay at an old farm in the French countryside close to the Normandy Beaches. The room was clean, tidy but a little basic offering good value for money. The 'continental' breakfast was acceptable and the swimming pool a pleasant bonus. The hosts were accommodating and provided useful, interesting information about the local area. We would stay again.

Beautiful French Villa

Had a wonderful stay. The place was very charming with a brautiful garden, with many colorful flowers. Room and dining had beautiful antiques. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with dinner reservations as it was hard to find a table at the village. A nice, complimentary homemade breakfast was served, with tea or coffee, bread, pastries and jellies. Mark, the owner was super nice and took excellent care of the guests during breakfast. I would definitely recommend for a romantic stay, and I would return again if I'm in the area.

Very pretty country setting. Not much in Grandcamp-Maisy but we were mainly there to visit Utah Beach which was only a 30 minute drive. The owner was nice enough to let us bring our breakfast to our room as we were not feeling well one morning.

On countryside

The place is situated very convenient when you are planning to visit beaches Omaha and Utah and other monuments from World War II. The landlord supported us with useful information about some additional places nearby and lady booked excellent restaurants for our dinners in the city of Grandchamp-Maisy. Their dog Oscar behaved himself very friendly. Lovely place, indeed.

BEAUTIFUL, QUITE PLACE TO STAY

THIS PLACE IS LIKE BEING IN HEAVEN. IT IS SO QUITE AND BEATIFULLY MANAGED AND PLACED. MARC AND HIS WIFE RUN A FANTASTIC CHAMBRES D'HOTE. THE GARDENS ARE A HAVEN TO SIT IN THE EVENING AFTER VISITING ALL THE LOCAL HISTORIC PLACES, PRETTY AND WELCOMING. MARC IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLY ON ALL THE NORMANDY SITES AND BREAKFAST IS WONDERFUL. Soggiornato con la famiglia 2 gioni per poter visitare con calma i luoghi dello sbarco. Posto strategisco per vedere le spiagge, i musei e i cimiteri Americano e Tedesco. Hyggelige værter

Et skønt ophold i landlige og rolige omgivelser. Værterne var meget søde og hjælpsomme. De sørgede hurtigt for leje af cykler, da vi spurgte, og de blev leveret til stedet. Ingenting er prangende, men hyggeligt. Vi var der i 4 dage. Du gik aldrig forgæves til værtsparret.

We are a family of 4 that saw the tours to Normandy by train and tour guide were expensive so we instead wanted to do it on our own, rented a car to drive from Paris and wanted to find a place to stay that was close to Utah or Omaha. This little inn was exactly what we needed. It is very basic, clean, with hot water. Our host was great and recommended other places to visit and we’re treated to the best homemade continental breakfast in the morning. The property is quaint and the kids loved the sheep, chickens and other animals roaming around. It was a lovely inn for a budget traveler.

We arrived late but the host was ready for us and showed us to our rooms. The rooms were big and clean. My room however lacked soap. In the morning they offered an amazing, delicious breakfast. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The property is beautiful. I highly recommend starting here.

Adorable, propre et passionné

Les personnes du gîte sont adorables. La chambre est très propre ! Rien à redire sur le confort générale. Néanmoins, le distributeur de gel dans la salle de bain n'est pas pratique du tout, il fonctionne mal. Le petit déjeuner est très bon ! Bon produit. Il se passe dans une salle commune. Les propriétaires sont trop présents pendant le petit déjeuner. Ils sont adorables, aux petits soins mais le matin c'est trop. Pour nous qui avons du mal à émerger le matin, j'avoue que c'était compliqué. Ce sont des propriétaires passionnés. On sent qu'ils aiment les gens mais pendant un repas il faut savoir se faire discret. Je recommande vraiment cet endroit et les propriétaires sont vraiment serviables et passionnés. Le cadre est sublime !
