Way too noisy.
A great place to stay but the privacy between rooms desperately needs to be addressed. The walls seem to be paper thin allowing not only the tv from both sides to be heard clearly but conversations between occupants can be clearly heard. Spoilt a great property at a great location.

Focus on the view and you’ll love it!
Beautiful location with a great view! Considering the low price for off-season, we were very happy with the room. I recommend you come with moderate expectations and you’ll love it. My wife and I are NOT picky, and are more about location than creature comforts, so we were pleased! It was “homey.”

Great view, very comfortable bed and couch, nice little kitchenette, enjoyed the picnic table in front. Overall very pleased with the property however something we were not aware of was October is the between seasons month so we were a little disappointed in the lack of restaurants open, activities available and so forth. We were really looking forward to spending time on the lake but it wasn’t very feasible since the marina was closed.

Gorgeous views
Perfect location! Every room has a lakefront view, and there are chairs & tables on the deck to sit and enjoy. Boardwalk along the sparkling lake begins right in front of the lodge and leads to eateries, marina, & beach. Great coffee shop just behind the lodge as well as 2 other restaurants on the same block. Easy to walk anywhere else in town! Free, onsite parking, so you really don't have to drive. Walk around south side of the lake from the dirt lot in front of the lodge. BONUS! A real human to check you in & out (with great customer service)! We've had hotels with only email or text check-in and ran into some difficulties. Rocky Mountain National Park and trails are nearby, with one trail leaving from town. It's not a new, sparkly hotel, but we enjoyed the charm & the rooms were very clean.

GRAND TIME
I am a huge fan of Grand Lake. Our trip was a little later in the year this year so I decided to book us a room instead of camping and it is 100% worth the money! They called me as soon as my room was ready and let me know I could check in early. Which gave us 4 hours to enjoy and have a home base. The rooms are older but in GRAND condition, the windows were clean and made for a lovely morning view. It truly is a few steps away from all of the charm that the Lake has to offer. Stay here! You'll want to move in.

We had a lovely stay in an upstairs unit at the motel. Check-in staff was so accommodating giving us information about the motel and the area. She even gave us an early parking pass and called us for an early check in. The motel is older but I think the management is doing a good job at keeping it clean and updated as best as possible for an older facility. The location can't be beat with beautiful views and convenience to all the town has to offer. We will definitely be back!

Being so close to the lake was nice with great views from the room. Being one block away from the main street was also nice. Just a short walk to shopping and dining but quieter than being right on the main road. The property itself is very old and the room we were in hasn’t been updated in a very long time. We were on the first floor and there was a lot of noise from the room above. Maybe a room on the second floor would have been better.

The property manager let us know that they do not like customers who book through Expedia. “None of it is in our control.” I had called on our way up to Grand Lake to ask if we could have an earlier check-in. We were told that the check in time on our email confirmation (3pm) from Expedia was not the time (4pm) they honored. A huge fuss was made by hotel staff about how they were bending over backwards to check us in at 3. We get there and check in to find we have been put in a tiny cabin room and not what we anticipated. We anticipated a lake house room in the motel not in a cabin from our Expedia booking. Long story short…this is not a lodging we will recommend or patronize again.

Great location
Western Riviera was a great place for our two day stay in Grand Lake. A great location on the marina with a balcony area and tables overlooking the water. It was clean and comfortable and met our needs. Coffee service was available by office but wasn’t ready till after 7:30 am.

Room was small, queen bed in the middle and could touch the wall on both sides of the bed, which is not a big deal. Bed was comfortable, the view was awesome but we had no hot water, and wifi showed up only at night. I could do without wifi, we had phone service so not a problem but not being able to shower is a big deal. We stayed there only one night, but would not stay there again. Taking a shower is a necessity amd not being able to have it is a deal breaker.

We are so sorry about the hot water! No one let us know until this morning that the hot water was not working in our small lakeside cabin rooms. We called our plumber who resolved the issue right away. We wish you would have let our front desk know so we could have helped you right away. Thank you for staying with us and your review. Yes, our small cabin rooms are very small and are advertised that way. Take good care, safe travels, and once again, we are so sorry about the hot water issue.
