The staff were incredible, very friendly and welcoming towards my wife and I and our 18 month old daughter. Veer, Viresh, Krishi amongst others were exceptional. The food and beverage was of great quality and the suite we had was beautiful. It was a sad day when we had to leave for sure!! Our stay for our honeymoon was everything and more, 10/10 would recommend anyone to stay here.

The staff were amazing and very helpful especially with my son who has severe learning disabilities and is nonverbal. They accommodated each and every request for him which made such a difference for us. Such a welcoming and inclusive hotel and staff. The staff at Lux Grand Gaube go out of their way to accommodate you. They are all extremely friendly and welcoming. Food and drink choices are extensive and excellent quality, plenty of different dining options available, ice cream car and cocktail trucks are fun extras. Our room (Ocean suite) had great amenities with daily housekeeping and mini bar restocking. Balcony was top class, including double lounger, comfy chairs, bath and shower - views to die for. We visited the library on our last day and would have spent more time in there if we’d found it sooner. All in all a great all inclusive.

The junior wellness suite was absolutely everything we could have wished for . Beautiful view and well equipped. The hotel was spotless and staff worked endlessly to keep it looking super tropical and inviting. The ambience of the entire site was one of relaxation , calm and happiness. The water sports facilities were amazing and included in our stay. We tried everything! Food exceptional with great variety. Every single member of the Lux team was kind, attentive and could not do enough for us. Stand outs were Kevin in the Palm Court dining and bar area. On the adult beach we were super well looked after by Saif and Anch. These two were friendly, kind and very helpful. They gave us lots of information about Mauritius and kept us well stocked with drinks and towels. They truly stood out as exceptional with their natural ability in customer services . Thank you both. Taxis were easy and we did a tour of the island which showed us lots of points of interest around this beautiful and interesting island. It truly was paradise . We had an excellent 2-week stay at LGG. Everything was top level from the staff to the quality service, beautiful beach, view, lovely breakfast and fantastic facilities. Amazing stay at Lux Grand Gaube. I booked 7 rooms for several families. When we checked-in, management decided to bless us with a few service upgrades. Unfortunately it was winter and we couldn't enjoy swimming and water activities as much since the water temperature and weather was a bit cold, nonetheless the activities are there. We had booked half board and only ate at the buffet, and the food was still exceptional and tasty. Loads of variety to choose from. I've done several hotels in Mauritius in the past, and so far this one tops my list. Can't wait for my next trip to Mauritius again to visit the other Lux hotels.

Not a great stay. Initial check in was not that attentive. They did not explain how things worked. Also the initial check in staff was not friendly which affected the first impressions. Some staff were brilliant but that was after the issues and more of a proactive approach. The resort is beautiful but the staff and cleansiness of the rooms let it down massively. There was also no acknowledgement of my issues on check out. So much potential to improve the customer service as well as bringing the hotel to the 21st century and then actually make it feel like a 5 star hotel as it currently feels more like a 4 star hotel.
