Loved this place. Felt like home. Very nice patio to have your coffee, bathroom was great, shower was ao powerful. The mini fridge was great to stire a few yummy tomatoes and jamon for snacks.
We stayed at Suite Comares for two nights in May and were absolutely charmed by the experience. The accommodations were impeccably clean and elegantly decorated, with thoughtful details throughout. Our suite featured a private little patio and a luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub, making it a perfect place to relax. There’s also a lovely shared sitting area with tea, coffee, and biscuits provided, and a beautiful garden pool that adds to the peaceful ambiance.
The location in the historic Alcaicería district offered breathtaking views of the Alhambra and a truly authentic feel. What made our stay truly memorable was our wonderful host, Luisa, who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and shared great local recommendations.
The only minor challenge was the uphill cobblestone access to the apartment, which was a bit tricky for my 82-year-old mother, but we managed—and it was well worth it. Highly recommended for a tranquil, elegant stay in Granada!
Great room in a vintage building in the Albaicin. Lovely patio area, but the pool is only open from June to September (which should be part of the listing). Coffee and tea available, along with cookies in a bistro type lounge.
The stone steps leading up to the entrance were tolerable. The accommodation was on the second floor, and since we knew there was no elevator, that was fine. What we wanted was a good view and a relatively clean place. However, unlike the photos, the view of the Alhambra Palace was mostly blocked — only about half was visible. The cleanliness of the accommodation was terrible. The air conditioner emitted a foul, moldy rag smell, so we had to turn it off immediately. Anyone visiting in summer would likely find it unusable. We left the windows open to ventilate the odor, but mosquitoes came in, and my child was bitten throughout the night and couldn’t sleep properly.
During our more than 10-day trip in Spain, staying in both cheaper and more expensive hotels and Airbnbs, this was by far the worst in terms of cleanliness. I sincerely ask the host to have the air conditioner cleaned for future guests. (I strongly advise against turning it on — it smells like a rotten rag and mold, as if it hasn’t been cleaned for over ten years.)
