An Oasis in the Karoo

Very nice place to stay in this kind of oasis in the middle of the Karoo. Palmtrees in the garden, swimming pool to refresh in the morning and an overwhelming service, excellent food and wine at the evening. And do not forget to drink at least one glass of the white dog, a very special unoaked brandy made only here. A medicine for many deseases such as sinosis etc..

Amazing guesthouse

Such an amazing little guesthouse! The place was beautiful and the rooms just adorable. The place is very genuine with a lot of old details. The rooms were spacious and deautifully decorated. Staff super friendly and helpful. Would almost go back just to get to stay there again. Would def recommend it!

Amazing Place to Stay

This was the most amazing place to stay, highly recommend it. The room was massive, family style dining with first rate service. This historic place had so many neat features in its building. Gated location makes it safe to leave your car parked outside. Great staff that was knowledgable about sights to see and things to do - a game park is only 10 minutes away. Fantastic meals! No reason to go to a restaurant when you have one on location that makes such great meals. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this place. A must stay if you are ever in the area.

Simple et d'un autre age

Hôtel très ancien à la décoration des années 1950: meubles bois, internet à la réception d'un autre age. Personnel charmant. Calme, parking sécurisé, centre ville à pied N'oubliez pas 1 heure avant le coucher de soleil d'aller en voiture à la vallée de la désolation: époustoufflant: vues magnifiques

We had dinner one night. The food was excellent but it took exactly an hour before it arrived. Managed to finish our bottle of wine before it arrived! Staff are a bit distant but OK. Plenty good off-site parking. Nice small pool. Cool covered outside area for sitting out of the heat of the sun.

Investitionen notwendig

Das enttäuschendste Hotel auf unserer dreiwöchigen Rundreise durch Südafrika. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Der Blick in den Garten, der häufig gelobt wurde in anderen Bewertungen, war uns etwas zu düster. In unser Zimmer fiel auch tagsüber wenig Tageslicht. Rings herum wurde fleißig gewerkelt, was auch dringend notwendig ist. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und benötigt eine Auffrischung. Gewundert haben wir uns auch nicht schlecht, als zum ersten Mal auf unserer Reise relativ hohe Internet-Nutzungskosten berechnet wurden.
