One of the best ways to find out about Goslar’s past is through its churches. Admire the stunning frescos and ecclesiastical treasures in the Jakobikirche, which is recognizable by its 11th-century tower frontage.

Inspect the marvelous Romanesque window cycle that portrays the doctor saints of the Market Church. Its fascinating façade has an uneven pair of towers. Climb to the top of the open-air northern tower for excellent views of the Goslar Old Town.

The district occupies the heart of Goslar in the Lower Saxony region in central Germany.
