The New Pioneer

"The New Pioneer Hotel is a western style motel type hotel. You have to walk outside in the heat to get to theaurants or casino. It has a small beach area and a dock for the casino river water taxi. My room looked like it was recently remodeled. The room was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom area had sufficient towels, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. Overall, it exceeded my expectations for a 2 star hotel. The pizza in River Rick's Pizzeria inside was quite good. The casino payouts seem to be a bit more generous than other casinos in the area."

"Staff was great despite the line waiting to check in. Very efficient. Room was actually in a different building across the street but felt like it was a little quieter there. Don't expect a lot of bells and whistles but it provides what you need."
