Wild Wilderness tamed

The lights in the original room allocated ti us did not work and immediately we were taken to another room. The service, friendliness and hospitality is great. Only problem is that the chef really needs training as the food was horrible and extremely expensive for what we got. I wont book in here again!

Notre stone cottage était spacieux et très confortable, joliment décoré, excellente literie, plateau thé/café bien pourvu, propreté impeccable. Terrasse avec petit salon de jardin, visite d’animaux ( mangoustes, Koudou). Superbe propriété. Personnel aux petits oignons. Adorable! Très bon restaurant, petits déjeuners fabuleux! Morning drive magnifique, seuls avec le guide pour le nourrissage des animaux du matin, guide «  small boy » très intéressant sur l’histoire des animaux, leurs soucis de santé etc… Les animaux sauvages sont ici au paradis, très bien soignés. C’est remarquable. Ils accueillent aussi des volontaires qui viennent travailler ( en séjour payant). N’hésitez pas, allez à Harnas!

Mein Freund und ich waren zwei Nächte dort. Hatte hier gebucht weil ich ein großer Tierfreund bin und mich gerne von der tollen Arbeit überzeugen lassen wollte, aber bei mir war es schon vorbei als ich den furchtbar verfetteten Hund der dort lebt, gesehen hab. Das ist Tierquälerei. Andere Gehege zB. von den Primaten waren auch relativ klein, vor allem im Hinblick darauf, wieviele Hektar Land sie eigentlich zur Verfügung hätten. Das Personal war freundlich, das Essen aber leider eine Katastrophe. Unser “Luxus”-Zimmer war bei Ankunft voll mit Käfern und Moskitos, toten und lebendigen.. im Bett auf dem Kissen, am Boden , im Bad.. sehr ekelhaft. Im Pool schwimmen Tiere, wie zB. Gänse. Süß anzusehen, aber darin schwimmen will man dann nicht mehr.. Katzen auf dem Tisch beim Essen und auf dem Bartresen. Ich liebe Tiere und habe selbst Haustiere aber das war zum Teil doch sehr unhygienisch. Sonst schöner Garten in dem sich einige Tiere frei bewegen, was schön anzusehen ist. Tier Friedhof war etwas verstörend und einen Baum mit Tierknochen wie ein Mobile zu schmücken empfand ich auch als befremdlich. Fazit: Für das Geld kann man woanders eine schönere Unterkunft finden

House was good, location is 60 mile drive from Gobabis, not 30 as listed. Overall was very good stay with friendly staff and plenty of wildlife.

This is truly like living in the wild! To be able to interact with all these wild animals was like bringing nature itself to your doorstep. The maintenance of the property and all amenities is absolutely immaculate and the love the staff shows for the animals is heartwarming.

Viele Tiere, nachts Löwengebrüll, schöne Anlage. Pool wurde durch Gänse mitbenutzt, war nicht so schön. Sehr schöne Iglus zum Wohnen/Schlafen. Wir hatten Jacke dort vergessen. Trotz mehrfacher Kontaktversuche keinerlei Reaktion von Harnas. Sehr kundenunfreundliches Verhalten. Wir fahren dort nicht wieder hin.

Harnas Wildlife ist einfach nur WOW

Tolle Steinchalets mit tolles Ausstattung. Großes Bett, großes Badezimmer. Tolle Erklärungen zu allem im Zimmer. Das Restaurant und Bar sind super mit günstigen Preisen und sehr gutem Essen. Dort gibt es sehr viele Tiere, die man immer um sich Drumherum hat. Das Personal ist super nett, immer freundlich und erklärt einem alles zu den Tieren. Tolle Touren kann man dort als Gast buchen. Es hat uns super gefallen und wir können es immer wieder nur empfehlen.

Aufenthalt in Harnas

Wir haben 3 Nächte in Harnas gebucht. Wir waren 2 Paare und in den Stonecottages untergebraucht. Über eine Heizung verfügen diese nicht, der Standard der Unterkunft ist eher niedrig im Vergleich zu anderen Lodges, die wir bei unserer Rundreise besucht haben. Die Nächte im Winter sind sehr kalt und lagen bei uns bei ca. 2 °. Ein Heizen mit der Klimaanlage war leider nicht möglich, da diese nur sehr kurz oder gar nicht warme Luft machte. Nur durch Zufall konnten wir herausfinden, dass die Matratzen beheizbar sind, was uns der Zimmerservice durchaus hätte sagen können. Ohne diese Matratzen wäre ein Aufenthalt gar nicht möglich gewesen. Das Wasser war entweder kalt oder nur ganz kurz warm, so dass ein Duschen kaum möglich war. Das Essen wird in einem nicht geschlossenen Raum serviert. Wir saßen mit Decken am Tisch, da es so kalt und zugig war. Der Kamin wurde nicht angemacht. Die Qualität des Essens war leider nicht gut, uns hat es leider nicht geschmeckt. Die Gläser und auch das Besteck waren nicht immer sauber. Die Verpflegung und der Service hatten eher Jugendherbergencharakter. Katzen gehen in der Küche ein und aus, ein Affe wurde dort auch herumgetragen. Ein Highlight des Aufenthalts war jedoch unser toller Guide mit dem wir eine Rundfahrt machten und zusätzlich einen Cheetah Walk buchten. Der Guide und die Tiere von Harnas haben unseren Aufenthalt versüßt.Wir würden aufgrund der tollen Führungen wieder vorbeischauen, maximal jedoch für 1 Nacht bzw. ohne Übernachtung.

Sehr schöne Farm mitten im Zoo.

Wir waren zwei Tage und drei Nächte dort. Sind sehr zufrieden gewesen. Wer keine Tiere mag der sollte diese Farm meiden.

Wunderbarer Urlaub für Tierliebhaber

Das war unser erste Ziel in Namibia - Perfekt - für Tierliebhaber und die, die welche werden worden und einiges über Wildtiere erfahren möchten. Sehr erfahrene Ranger und viele Möglichkeiten.... Cheeta-Walk, Baboo-Walk, Reiten ( wenn das Pferd will....) Atemberaubend war besonders der abendliche Lion-Roar. Herrliche Einschlafmusik

Eine wunderschöne Farm mit vielen Tieren. Wir waren hier um uns nach einer Rundreise noch ein paar Tage zu entspannen bevor es zurück nach Deutschland ging. Alle waren sehr freundlich und es war auch sehr ordentlich.

Tolles Erlebnis, Abenteuer und engagierte MA

Man kann ueber das Konzept denken wie man will.Uns hat es gut gefallen. Die Mitarbeiter und die Volontaire geben sich die groesste Mühe.Besonders toll fanden wir die morgentliche Fütterung.Unbedingt machen. Man kommt den Tieren so nah...sehr informativ und auch sehr spannend. Tolle Umgebung und sehr gutes Restaurant mit sehr nettem und kompetenten Personal. Weniger gut: Umgang der „Manager“ mit dem einheimischen Personal vor den Gaesten und der relativ hohe Preis.Kommt man vom „Weg ab“ beim Aufsuchen der Unterkunft, wird man sofort zurechtgewiesen. Schlechte Beschilderung auf dem Gelände Insgesamt: Sehr guter Einstieg fuer die bevorstehende Rundreise. Sehenswert und ein Highlight

Harnas - Betrügerische Absichten?

Vor einigen Monaten buchten wir für zwei Nächte bei der bekannten Harnas Lodge über Expedia. Es sollte ein 8 Bett-Zimmer werden, so wie in einer Jugendherberge. So stand es zumindest in den Unterlagen. Zu zahlen waren dafür 600 N$. Als wir im Urlaub nun gegen Abend endlich auf der Farm eintrafen, um dort zu übernachten, forderte man von uns 7000 $ für die zwei Nächte. Angeblich gebe es keine 8 Bett-Zimmer und man wollte uns klarmachen dass wir nur ein Campingplatz gebucht hätten. Wer nimmt ein Zelt von Deutschland aus mit? Keiner, oder? Obwohl in ihren eigenen Unterlagen vom gleichen Zimmer die Rede war, schoben sie einfach nur die Schuld auf EXPEDIA und forderten von uns das Geld. Laut Aussagen von Namibianern werden Ausländer gerne so abgezockt. Die Farm ist umgebaut worden, dennoch schön. Das Essen ist für den Preis zu spärlich und Vegetarier haben dort überhaupt nichts zu suchen. Sie erhalten das gleiche wie alle andern, nur dass Ihnen das Fleisch noch weggenommen wird. Einen Abend hatte meine Lebensgefährtin nur eine Kartoffel. Die Rundfahrten kann ich jedem nur ans Herz legen. Obwohl wir mit einem platten Reifen zu kämpfen hatten, war diese Tour sehr, sehr schön.
