Everything about my stay was very good apart from the room i was in needed updating to the standard of the rooms on the second floor which were absolutely gorgeous
Lovely hotel. Great location. Down side is it really isn’t very accessible as a hotel as the stairs need the agility of a mountain goat. Nightmare with bags and forget it if you have mobility issues or require a wheelchair, for example. No lift or stairlift. Breakfast offered when it is included in the room rate is only continental! If you want it cooked it’s an extra £3. Complimentary teas and coffees in the lounge with 24/7 bar and snacks is a great touch.
Welcoming receptionist. Reception and stairs decoration a little tired but room new and comfortable.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Didn’t have the room we booked, tried to give us a double bed when we booked twin beds as it was for two men not in a relationship - had to insist we were given two beds, the worst we were questioned why we wouldn’t sleep in the same bed!!!! and the breakfast was poor.
Would not book again.
Central location, excellent help from receptionist who couldn’t do more to give us a replacement room, and a free breakfast for our inconvenience of a room without a functioning toilet, not her fault but did absolutely everything she could to help, very much appreciated
Lovely hotel. Very central. Nice breakfast.
Did NOT like the entrance to the hotel at night. Quite frightening, having to get through intoxicated people in the doorway.
Thankfully, a guy called Jim was on night reception, who was very helpful. Monitored the cctv to make sure that only residents entered the hotel.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The room we where in wasnt to be our room , they put us right up on the 4th floor, to many stairs to get up there, the rooms ceiling came down in a slant and husband kept banging his head on it as it was an attic room
Lovely quirky hotel in great location for city attractions. Welcoming staff. Only two things, be aware of stairs as no lift. And ask for room at back as street can be noisy for most of the night.
Was staying to go to Strictly Tour & hotel wasn't far away.We had a lovely stay. Was central to what we needed. Would definitely come back.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful.
I have put a report on Trip Advisor.
We loved our stay. Absolutely no complaints.
From the moment we arrived the friendliness and efficiency of the staff was excellent. Our room was warm and cosy beautifully clean and very well equipped.
There is no doubt that the next time we come to Glasgow we will endeavour to book the Rennie Mackintosh hotel. Thank you all for a very pleasant couple of days.
Lovely room. Spotlessly clean. Great big comfortable bed and huge TV. Loads of plugs (8) plus another 4 power points for phones/laptops/computers etc. Bathroom spotless. Tea/coffee and fridge in room. Good size room. Decor very tasteful.
The staff at Rennie are amazing. They made my son and I feel at home. Daniel, Sam, Patrick and Jimmy was a pleasure to stay with you guys for our trip. You made us feel so welcome, my son will truly miss the reception. Thank You for having us
Fab stay & amazing room. Loved the shower & the bed was so comfy. Only thing I would say is, we paid for late check out the next day and no one informed the cleaners so we had them knocking on our door and trying to enter the room multiple times while we were in bed.
Apart from that, we had a great stay and will definitely be back
Fantastic location as it’s 2 minutes from Glasgow central train station
Close to loads of shops and restaurants
Quirky with free tea and coffee
No lift though so take care if you can’t handle stairs
