From the start I was welcomed by the owner Franco and his staff, Nice size room, and great views from the balcony Amazing food, will stay again when down that way.

The Restaurant is 4-star, the hotel not really

I have seen better equipped hostels than this 4 star hotel. There were no tooth brushes, no tooth paste, no shampoo nor conditioner offered. There was also no bathtub despite getting one of the pricier rooms. The spring mattresses seem quite old, the pillows were comfortable though. The air conditioning was not working well either. The breakfast consisted of many sweets and biscuits (typical Italian), cornflakes, toast, sandwich cheese and some ham. There were no fruits or vegetables, not even eggs offered in the morning. The staff though was very welcoming and caring. They took your orders and prepared your drinks. The coffee they use is excellent. The restaurant food is amazing and everyone is working hard to provide excellent service. TLDR The hotel is ok, the service is great, the food excellent, even if not balanced/healthy.

Beautiful family owned hotel run by lovely staff.

Great location and super friendly staff making the stay very enjoyable. Family run hotel that genuinely cared for its clients. Plenty of parking and full restaurant on site catered for everything we needed. We parked parked a moto outside (right outside entrance). Location is excellent near beautiful driving roads right in the middle of a natural park. We will definitely be back when we visit this area again.

I spend 6 weeks in Filippone in 1998 for work and returned for the first time 3 years ago and this year again. Every time again it feels like I’m coming home. Franco and his team are very welcoming and do everything to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and we left both nights completely full. We’ll be back again.

Charming Hotel

My wife and I spent two nights while visiting the Abruzzo National Park. What a treat! The staff was cordial and competent. The rural setting is quiet and peaceful. The food and service were first class. There was even a national class art exhibition while we were there. We would go out of our way to stay there again.

Discover Abruzza

We were driving from Tuscany to southern Italy and stayed overnight at this wonderful family-run hotel adjacent to national parks in the mountains to the east of Rome but off the main tourist track. Great atmosphere with very helpful staff and service. Good food.
