This was one of the best places I've ever been to. The owners were the best and we can't say enough about how wonderful the place was. It was historical, friendly, clean, and just perfect! Hope to be back again one day.

Everything was great! The establishment itself and our room was very clean and well decorated. You can tell that much time and care went into everything they did. We had breakfast both mornings. Laura and Ron provided a great meal. We were not hungry for quite a while🙂. The location is perfect. It’s very convenient to the center of everything. Ron and Laura are excellent hosts. So accommodating, so personable. It was as though we’ve always known them. We would love to return. We couldn’t recommend Langdon Hill House more!

This was my first stay at a B&B.I was skeptical, but booked it for our anniversary. What an amazing experience! Laura and Ron were delightful hosts and their wealth of knowledge and passion for local history made the stay that much better, Expect a filling home cooked breakfast every morning by Laura (while in period costume). She leaves snacks and drinks in the sun room for guests to enjoy. Ron did much of the restoration work himself to the mansion. He kept the historical vibe while modernizing it. He is a wealth of knowledge about restoration and preservation. Parking takes a moment to figure out (it’s behind the Inn along an alley). Many shops and sights are within walking distance. You can take a shuttle for tours or rent a car to drive around the Gettysburg National Park while listening to the free National Park Service app narrating. Last note: No, there were no ghosts despite the awful death toll in the area from the war. Gettysburg was a turning point in the American Civil War and the town suffered damage (some of it still visible) during the pitched battles over those three momentous days. The mansion played a role in the fighting!

This property is a gem for history enthusiasts. It contains a museum of artifacts discovered during renovations and is decorated to match the period it was built in. It is modern and clean however, with modern comforts like new outlets on each side of the bed and at both vanities in the bathroom. The staff were incredible. The owners helped us bring in our luggage and showed us around the house. They told us about the history as well as how to maximize our stay in Gettysburg. They found an ironing board for us to borrow and provided a magnificent breakfast everyday, included as part of your stay. We really enjoyed chatting with them. Finally, the rooms are beautiful and the beds are so comfy. I told my husband we need sheets and duvets as soft as theirs. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Gettysburg and we have recommended them to our family.
