Amenities to be improved. To provide paper/plastic bag and slippers in the room. The hotel photo used is misleading. Grand Inn Penang Road is not at the corner lot. Please provide parking lots to customers. Thank you.

Price is okay, got open air space at third floor. I FOUND BED BUGS so i assume they dont change the mattress. Staff is nice and helpful. They dont provide toothpaste so bring yourself one.

Location, Pleasant Stay.
Location easy access to nearby eatery. walking distance to Chulia street. friendly staff (front desk, house- keeping).Simple & basic room for a good rest (if most of the guests can lower their voice when back to the room and handle the door gently, echo quite clear if walk and talk at the corridor). Hot & cold water dispenser available at hallway. required deposit for room key and car park access card if driving (parking foc from hotel but carpark access car based on 1st come 1st serve). Non-Malaysian will charge tourism fee for MYR10/night, plus Penang island heritage fee for MYR2/night for 1~3 stars hotel. Overall pleasant stay. Value for money. Recommended for backpacker (they have bunk bed) , 2togo, budget family or group.

Great value for money. We would stay again!
You get what u pay for. We would happily come back. The a/c wasn't the best though and occasionally our room would smell of smoke. Great location tho, close to everything you'd want to see and loads of restaurants!

Noisy small and basic
Very basic hotel without any charm. The only good thing is the location and that it’s very cheap so I suppose you get what you pay for. Either way a few things - bunk bed rooms are tiny and barely big enough for one person let alone two. Don’t expect too much from the front desk staff and rooms can be noisy as walls are thin and property is on main road.

Its a great neighborhood to stay...its located in the middle. Near komtar, local market, and a famous soup you must try by foot from the hotel. Next time i like to stay here again....thankyou...

Great location , . Hotel just soso.
Front desk staff curt and abrupt on check in. However,they were accommodating enough to allow me to leave luggage in office after check out till time to get the train in evening. Air conditioning in room is terrible. It also smells a tad.

Convenient, right on Penang Road
We stayed in the double decker room. Although the room was small, it was very clean with all necessary amenities. The bunker beds were very comfortable with good head height, it didn't feel cramp. Toilet was small but didn't feel cramp and had all basic toiletries. There's no kettle in the room but a water dispenser with hot and cold water is available in the corridor. Free parking is available in an open carpark if you are driving. It's also located right on Penang Road, walking distance to good street food all around.

Budgeted Stay Inn in George Town Penang
With the budgeted prices / rates for the hotel , it is mostly fine to us except the following : - Mosquitos in the hotel room and reception lobby ( We killed 4 mosquitos during 2 night stay and 2 at the reception area while checking out -One out of two fire escspe door was blocked/ locked. No alternative escape route in the event of fire and therefore a fire hazard to hotel guest Hope ur attention for subsequent action is appreciated . Tq

Thank you for your reviews. Kindly be advised that fire escape door are locked as to avoid outsiders / intruders entering the hotel without notice. However, in the event of disaster such as fire we have established a fire escape route and all fire escape door will be unlocked by our security staffs. Fire escape route is a basic must have that allowed the government to approve our hotel license.

Pleasant stay, good location
The room service was poor. There was a slope in the middle of the bed which gives us a bad body-ache the next morning. The tv was not functioning well too due to the bad weather (rain). Other than this, the location was great. It's within a walking distance to the local market which we have tried a lot of local delicacies including the teochew cendol. The hotel also provide a great parking space for us to park our car and it's all free.
