Quiet Gela property

Lovely, small property near (1km) beaches. Small hotel equals small staff, but they try to meet your needs. Would recommend for quiet couples vacation.

La struttura e' stata ristrutturata bene ed e' molto moderna. Purtroppo pero' la stanza aveva il riscaldamento rotto, ed essendoci stati il 4 di gennaio, sarebbe stato meglio averlo funzionante, anche se poi non abbiamo avuto freddo visto che c'era il termoarredo del bagno che funzionava. La colazione e' internazionale e non tipica siciliana.

Die Lage ist leider etwas ab vom Schuß, aber da waren wir bei der Auswahl selbst schuld. Das Zimmer war sauber, aber die Wände sind recht hellhörig. Das Hotel scheint schwach besetzt, bei unserer Ankunft war die Rezeption nicht besetzt.

Check in was ok. Nice parking area. WiFi on 2nd floor was bad. Nice outside area. Balcony is pointless since it’s right next to main road; you can hear the traffic. Beds weren’t comfortable. Frontdesk closes after 21:00; everyone was gone. Viaviana was nice at front desk, Alessandra was attentive at breakfast. Breakfast choice is bad. Don’t expect anything special. You are better of not having breakfast at all. Old croissant, stale pies.

Modern design hotel, pas 2 jaar oud.

Prachtig hotel, mooie ruime slaapkamer, moderne badkamer met regendouche. Alles werkt perfect, Goed verlicht, airco werkt prima. Jammer dat het hotel in een achteraf wijk van een industriestad ligt. Er is totaal geen tourisme in de omgeving en er is geen enkel terras of horecagelegenheid te vinden waar je kunt eten. Er is openbaar vervoer voor de deur, niet duidelijk van waar naar waar de bus rijdt. Gela als stad ligt ver weg van toeristische voorzieningen. Ragusa is een stad op 30 km afstand, die nog wel bezocht kan worden. Etna en Syracuse zijn op de verre afstand.

kleines Paradies!!

Wir waren im August mit drei Generationen einer Familie vor Ort. Da es nur zehn Zimmer gibt, von denen wir drei belegt haben war es wunderbar leer aus unserer Sicht. Am Pool waren wir teilweise ganz alleine und ebenso im Frühstücksraum. Das Hotel ist mit liebevoller Hand eingerichtet und dekoriert. Vom Garten, über die Gemeinschaftsräume, bis hin zum Zimmer oder dem Personal war alles nahezu perfekt. Vielen Dank an die Betreiber, die täglich vor Ort sind, da sie auch auf dem Gelände wohnen. Die Stadt Gela ist viel interessanter, als wir zuvor angenommen hatten. Der Strand in Richtung Manfria ist sehr schön und zum Teil naturbelassen. Essen kann man gut am Strand, dort gibt es sogar zwei tolle Fischrestaurants. Kurz gesagt, es war ein wunderschöner 12tägiger Aufenthalt in Gela!

We had a confirmed paid booking at this hotel but when we arrived we were told there were no rooms. The person at the desk was very helpful and found us another hotel which we additionally paid for and escorted us to the hotel. Unfortunately the substitute hotel was the worst one of our 5 week road trip. I expect hotels.com to credit our credit card for $107.12 which was the amount I paid. Although we did not stay at Archeo Hotel the reception and grounds were quite beautiful. Greatly disappointed our confirmed and paid for booking was not honored.
