When I booked a car and the driver was delayed, the staff quickly ordered another one through their phone and guided the driver exactly where to go. "We stayed there for Eight days. It was great experience with old world charm and modern amenities. Rooms were very clean; Staff was very friendly and polite. Specially the "Verandah" staff was very attentive, and Breakfast and dinner was great with ever changing menus. It is unfair to mention few names as a complement because it is injustice done for others who served us with great care and friendliness. As a whole our stay was memorable. We will definitely stay at Galle Face Hotel on our next visit to Sri Lanka."

"The hotel is nice but for a hilton could be better. We stayed here at the start and end of our holiday . It was a nice place to start but on our return we had a very smelly room which stank of stale smoke even though it was a non smoking room. We asked it to be fixed which it was not. The reception stuff were not as friendly compared to staff at other hotels in sri lanka and generally sri lankan people."
