Very old place, I wouldn’t stay here again, even for an overnight stay. Hallway was dirty, everything in our room looked like a room out the 1970’s. Bathroom was big, but the vanity was the size of a postage stamp. Then comes the issue of the heater: wow, it was very irregular and very loud! Was super cold when we arrived so turned it to 70, came back after going out for dinner, was very hot. Then turned it to 67, woke up at 1:00 and hubby and I were both burning up, turned it to 62, and it still continued to run and run, with several different fans, and loud sounds. Never again here! Sorry Microtel, but this place needs to be updated! Buyer beware—-you get what you pay for here!

I am sorry to put this as we stayed here last year and had a good experience BUT THIS YEAR WAS HORRIBLE. The room we checked into sheets were dirty, so we asked for another room not thinking it was a big deal for one room. The second room sheets were worst than the first. I went down to speak to the front desk woman who was very apologetic and then took me to 3 other rooms to see if they were clean (which they weren't--one had what looked like pubic hair on it). The 4th room shown to me seemed bareable and the woman offered a discount so I agreed for us to stay there since we were just there for the night. The bathoom walls had gunk on them and the floor was dirty and sand was on the side of the bench window. When we left the next morning the male manger apologized and said he would talk to his staff. After a few days, I received my security deposit back but there was no discount on the rate. I called Monday to ask about it but the woman I spoke to said the manager was unavailabe but took notes and said he'd call back, but I never received a call. I call back today and spoke with the male manger who was decent at first but then when I brought up the specifics he became rude and not receptive to my feedback telling me "You already received a discount from expedia, we're a 2 star hotel, what do you expect?" Like sir what!? I will be reporting to them to their head quarters!
Sheets could not have been "cleaned" looks like they just remade the bed.
4/5 rooms I saw all sheets were similar like this on either both or one of the double bed rooms.

The staff was so very friendly and welcoming. Felt like I was well taken care of, and although I didn't need any additional help or have any issues, I felt confident that they were approachable and willing to help. The room was clean and comfortable, and was ready and inviting when I walked in. Will definitely stay here again, as it is very convenient as a half way point for my road trip to visit a friend and easily located off the interstate.
