Small hotel 55 kms from Gällivare but close to E10

Close to the E10 between Gällivare and Kiruna, this is a small basic hotel with 8 cabins OK for a night's stay with a clean bathroom, clean beds, sheets, duvets and towels Free parking close by We had higher expectations from the restaurant and were disappointed by the hard elk burger and dry elk pie. The closest food option was 10 kms away.

The place is located near the highway, which is great, especially when traveling long distances by car, so that you can rest well overnight. The room was silent and the surroundings between the nature are calm and peaceful. Just take into account that there might not be food service so you have to manage it, from at least a few kilometers away, also the room didn't offer shampoo or hair conditioner in case of taking a shower. Other than that, the room was basic but clean and comfortable.

Mycket trevlig natur och rummen var fräscha och fina! Myggnätet till fönstret var trasigt så dom reparerade det tillfälligt med silvertejp. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse!

Grei plass og vennlig betjening. Booket et rom med 2 senger, men det stod en køyeseng foran vinduet. Så utsikten som nevnes med et pluss fantes ikke. Rommet er ganske "basic". Kun senger.

Pysähdys pariksi yöksi moottoripyöräretkellä. Siisti paikka. Sveitsiläinen omistajatar ystävällinen, ravintolassa sai ihan hyvää ruokaa kohtuulliseen hintaan ja juomatkin halvempia kuin Suomen Lapissa. Palvelua sai saksaksi ja englanniksi, ei ruotsiksi tai suomeksi.

Location great if you want to be away from town. About 40 minute drive to Gallivare. The lodge itself was clean, but not at all soundproof!! I had two men staying in the room next to me and I could clearly hear every word and they were up late talking :( I had to use earplugs to get to sleep. The person on the other side one evening was blowing their nose which I could hear too and I could even hear them showering and using the toilet. This was very frustrating! While there was a TV, I could find no remote and no cable for the ariel. No kettle for a hot drink. Restaurant closed at this time of year and nothing nearby - the recommendation was to go Gallivare for food. The hosts are great though - they arranged an easy late check in, and even though no breakfast at this time of year they went out of their way to provide a breakfast which was great.
