The overall condition is older and not as well maintained as I would have expected. The rooms are small and the space limited. It faces a nearby interstate and highway noises come through. The price is at the lower end of the scale, so I guess the condition is aligned with the room cost. The real highlight was the breakfast, and it was quite good.

1 star across the board for this place. My daughter booked this place as a surprise birthday trip for me and my son. The mini fridge didn't work, the toilet wouldn't flush and would leak water onto the floor when you tried, the closet doors were just leaned against the wall. There was a sign in the dining area stating you could not take your food back to your room. Who wants to rush on vacation to eat breakfast with strangers when you just rolled out of bed? Filthy... Lord have mercy this place was filthy. From dog poop in mounds around the stairs to just the dirty rooms. Thank baby Jesus the linens were clean. They deactivated our room keys while we were down at breakfast then acted like we were inconveniencing them when asked to reactivate them. I have plenty of pictures. NEVER AGAIN!

Smelled musty even in the lobby. Our room was accessible from the outside even though it shouldn’t have been. The door to the outside had the handle completely broken off. Anyone who wanted inside could easily access the hallway where the smelly rooms were. The bedding used to be white. It’s just a funky gray color now. We paid $265 for one night at this dump and would not have stayed except it was the weekend of the UF/FSU game and there wasn’t another room to be had. We left at 5 a.m. just to get out of there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The room was dirty, broken floor, dirty microwave, tv was not working totally hated the place. The front desk person tried to make up for all the complaints. They even charged my credit card twice.

The room was filthy, the bed broken, appliances didn’t work (refrigerator and TV) and there was no hot water in the morning for a shower. The sheets had stains and the curtains were dirtier than I could explain. I have pictures.

My stay here was extremely disappointing. The room had cockroaches and other insects, and there was a strong, unpleasant smell as soon as I walked in. The conditions made the room impossible to use. I reported everything to the staff, and there’s written documentation confirming the issues. This shouldn’t happen at any hotel, especially one under a major brand. I would not stay here again and can’t recommend it to anyone.

Cayeiser@gmail.com A little concerning that the inner doors have a sign that say the doors should be locked 24 hours, which leads me to believe there are security protocols in place, but what is even more concerning, is that there is actually no door handle or locking mechanism on the doors on the third floor. you might as well take the doors off the hinges, because all of the hardware is missing and you don’t even need a key to get inside the third floor of the hotel. Which means anybody off the street could access the elevator without even going to the front desk, they can go up to the third floor and get inside. When I asked the front desk attendant, if the hotel was in a safe area or if we had anything to worry about, she replied, “oh yeah, we have cameras all over this place“. In which I replied, if I was dead, it doesn’t matter if there’s 1000 cameras. When I booked the hotel, and the cost of the hotel, it did not translate well to the accommodations when we pulled up and seeing a huge sign that says weekly rentals available. My ignorance tells me, that Gainesville is just an expensive place to live and other hotels may be double or triple the price though. Needless to say, the clientele roaming the hallways, made us want to use three levels of protection at our own room door. Also, the shelf across from the sink, when you round the corner from the bedroom area, I am sure you have reported injury incidents. Especially in the middle of the
