We loved the inn. Our room was clean and cozy. The mattress was just right for both of us. When we had questions, we were able to text with a friendly staff member. It was really neat that a binder full of information about the inn and the community was left for us to peruse.
This place has a rich history that you feel when staying here. Cheryl left us a hand written note giving us clear instructions for our stay there. The breakfast was good and she was very attentive.
This is an amazing spot. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We absolutely loved all the decorations for Halloween. Lots of time and effort put into the decor and up keep of this beautiful Inn. Breakfast was truly superb. Enjoyed visiting with other guests at the Breakfast Table. We have already booked another stay in November. Keith and Gretchen, the owners, were very accommodating and delightful to visit with.
We arrived late, easy entry, room was nice, just cold. It took a few hours to warm up once we turned the heat on. But the bed was very comfy. Price was perfect. Seen no one when we got there or when we left. No need to really. We would stay again.
Like everything about it , rooms were spacey comfortable clean and privacy , each room had its own bathroom ,the hostess Cheryl made a great breakfast ,enjoyed the conversation and then Cheryl left us to our own to enjoy the morning
I had a sudden opportunity to visit family while on a business trip in Maine and found this sweet gem. I was very comfortable and the owner took good care of me. Also, the stars at night are spectacular! I stayed outside for a good while late at night just in awe of the view. Overall, it was a very comfortable and great stay.
If we're ever in the area again, we would book here. Really well maintained, clean, comfortable inn. Donna was amazing. I'm vegan and didn't have a ton of options on day 1 for breakfast, she took the time to ask what I liked and had some of my favorites out and ready on day 2.
Pleasant stay, konstanz room was good sized and charming decorations. Quiet, only saw a few other people around the property. Area was very nice and walkable although i drove. Breakfast was at 830 although i didnt partake. Nice collection of books and games. Enjoyed sitting on the lawn in the evening. Owner offered me a muffin on my way out and it was amazing
Nice quiet location with beautiful surroundings. Off the beaten path. Excellent full breakfast. The host was very friendly at breakfast with good conversations. Take note that all bedrooms are upstairs, as well as the house access being up a set of stairs..
Great Stay, clean & quiet, convenient to down town & the Fryeburg Fairgrounds. Our room had a mini fridge, & microwave oven. There was complimentary soda, water, coffee & tea, plus snacks. Breakfast was also included & it was delicious! The owners were friendly, and very accommodating.
We had an amazing stay at the Admiral Peary Inn in July! The inn is full of charm and history, with beautifully decorated rooms that made us feel right at home. The innkeepers were incredibly welcoming, offering great local recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. The homemade breakfasts were delicious and a perfect start to our days. The peaceful location made it easy to relax. Perfect place to stay if you are seeing a show at Stone Mountain. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return!
Absolutely beautiful home. I felt like I was going back in time. I spent Thanksgiving night there and did not encounter another living soul during my visit. Walking through the house was an undescribable feeling, as if I both did and did not belong there (yes a was a guest --but in the wrong century!). Time travel. VERY cool. the most modern technology downstairs was a turntable. Loved the antiques and the bed that you needed a stool to climb up on. Also every detail, from the newspapers talking about Admiral Peary in the sitting room, to the photos of his family that graced my room which was, of course, the Admiral's quarters.
I did not linger in any of the common areas because the rest of the house was quite chilly but I was only there between seven p. m. and eight a. m. The library and the sitting areas look wonderful , especially the outdoor decks. I live in maine , but I am already thinking up reasons to go back.

This is only the second bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed in and it was not what I expected from a bed and breakfast. There was no breakfast unless you count coffee and a banana. The house was cute but our stay began with a miscommunication between Expedia and host with host not being aware we had booked a king size bed. We were sent to a Queen via a letter when we walked in the back of the house. No host to greet us and an open door. I was able to call the host and the handyman showed us to another room so that was a quick recovery other than moving luggage up and down narrow stairs. The beds are not standard comfort wise as the queen seemed normal but the king and a very thick memory foam topping that was too soft. Really, in hindsight this was an Air bnb that you share with several strangers. The cost was very reasonable and served as a great jumping off point for nearby hikes.

Pleasant but....
The Inn is very quaint and pleasant. We had the Panama room and the stairs leading to it are very steep and difficult to maneuver. My wife has mobility issues and they were difficult for her. The room itself was nice enough but the closet had bars only about 3 feet from the floor and was full of old broken furniture. You could not hang a dress without dragging the floor. Bed was comfortable. No breakfast on weekends. That being said, I would stay there again but would not recommend the Panama room.

Arrived late 9:15 pm- never met anyone- A/C in room was old didn’t work and face plate fell off. Kept trying to find a switch or something but couldn’t. Stated we were leaving before breakfast and would have thought a muffin or something to grab and go would be offered- nothing. Sheets were soft, bed comfortable other than that very dissatisfied, cheep all in one shampoo that I cannot use for my long hair- at least I had my own. Wouldn’t recommend for the price we got a bed, nothing else.
Unfortunately, very short visit, came later than expected and had to leave early. Didn't get a chance to explore other areas of the Inn - library, kitchen, porch, outside - everything looked very cozy and appealing
There were multiple rooms on the first floor to hang out in after a day of Maine/NH adventures. I unfortunately only stayed one night as I was visiting family. At breakfast, met a nice couple from Europe and another from VT. It was too quick
