excellent point to start or finish a trip on the skyline highway! easy walk through the downtown to many restaurants and shops and a wonderful burger and custard place right across the street👍
Amazing property - clean, comfortable, great breakfast spread, pool/hot tub were great and well maintained. Rooms are very nice, location is close to lots of stores and restaurants.
The room was clean, but the shower was noisy. The air conditioner was also very loud. The elevator button board was falling apart and there appeared to be graffiti on the elevator door. The staff did not have knowledge about the surrounding area. The free breakfast was meager and the coffee was straight up mud. That being said, for the price, it was perfectly acceptable. It was within walking distance to a fantastic restaurant (Spelunkers) and a Dunkin for good breakfast coffee. Hotel was within a short walking distance of the main thoroughfare for dining and shopping and it is a great base of operations for other planned day trips. If you dont plan to spend much time in the hotel or you are only in town for one night, this place is perfect. If you are looking for something for a longer stay or with amenities, maybe look somewhere else.
This was a safe, comfortable stay and we felt so at home here! Delicious free breakfast and everything is walkable, including dining, bars and shops in the downtown area.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Our room was inexpensive and convenient to Shenandoah National Park. The beds were comfortable but the bedspreads were stained. The room was clean. The stairwell had a peculiar odor and I noticed the stairwell doors did not close and latch, which may be a fire code violation. The bathtub creaked loudly when anyone took a shower: guessing there was minimal support under the tub. The breakfast offering was not quite spartan…I found the coffee undrinkable (good news, though: there’s a Dunkin’ Donut across the street). The staff was not particularly enthusiastic.
But the room was inexpensive…
