Das ganze Hotel stinkt wie eine schlechte Pommes-Bude. Nach 5 Minuten einchecken im Schankraum sind die "Klamotten" ruiniert. Unsere Zimmer lagen ca. 5 Meter von der Fahrbahn / Brücke entfernt.

Nach der Reservierung der Zimmer über hotels.com (ich hatte auch eine Bestätigung per Mail erhalten) wurde uns im Hotel mitgeteilt, dass keine Reservierung vorliegt und auch keine freien Zimmer verfügbar sind. Ich weiß nicht, wo hier der Fehler liegt, aber ich hätte mir nach einer 500km Anfahrt mit dem Motorrad schon gewünscht, dass man sich im Hotel auch ein wenig dafür verantwortlich fühlt und bei der Suche nach einem Ersatz behilflich ist. Das war hier absolut nicht der Fall, wir wurden ziemlich unfreundlich behandelt und wieder weg geschickt.

Klasse Zwischenübernachtung während einer Radtour

Trotz Corona so viel Normalität wie möglich - das fühlte sich gut an. Kleiner Fahrradschuppen zum Einschließen der Räder vorhanden. Das Besondere über eine einfache Schlafstätte hinaus: eine Gymnastikmatte mit Anleitung für ein paar Übungen - nette Idee. Der Getränkekühlschrank samt Sparschwein zum Bezahlen - gegen den abendlichen Durst eine super Lösung. Eine Kaffee-/Teestation für alle auf dem Gang - der erste Kaffee am Morgen am offenen Fenster mit Blick zum Main - herrlich! Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, das Abendessen draußen auf der Terrasse war besonders lecker und das Glas Wein danach im Liegestuhl am Fluss nach einem anstrengenden Tag auf dem Rad besonders entspannend. Sehr empfehlenswert für eine Zwischenübernachtung!

Zimmer lag direkt an der Hauptstraße die über eine Brücke führte. Gefühlt fuhren die Autos direkt durchs Zimmer. Die Rolladen waren defekt , so dass man den ganzen Tag Licht an machen musste. Die Beleuchtung war sehr schlecht. Auf Anfrage den Preis zu reduzieren, gab es angeblich keine Möglichkeit, obwohl im Hausprospekt das Zimmer nur 69 € kostet und wir 89 € bezahlt haben. Am Anreisetag war die Rezeption nicht besetzt und man musste alles telefonisch regeln. Nie wieder unverschämt!!!

Der Bewertung ist nichts hinzuzufügen, es war einfach nur enttäuschend. Wir kennen das Hotel von Aufenthalten in den Jahren 2006 und 2011, damals waren wir sehr zufrieden. Das hat sich leider verändert.

Great location (15 meters from the river Main), but no private car park so finding a car space (along the main promenade) can be at times challenging. Hotel has seen better days and is outside in need of some care (even two steps of the entrance have considerable pieces of the steps broken off and the . Rooms were clean, staff was friendly enough and breakfast was slightly better than OK. Overall, especially considering their room rates, not that bad of a choice.

Hotel / Zimmer / Restaurant in stark renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand ! Alles heruntergekommen, Bad / Tapeten / Teppiche in desolatem Zustand, Einrichtung 80er Jahre ohne Komfort. Abgewetzte Bettwäsche, das Frühstück hat den schlechten Gesamteindruck nur nich bestätigt! Eine Frechheit, wenn man Bilder und Eindruck im Internet mit dem tatsächlichen Zustand vergleicht ! Nicht mal eine Flasche Wasser wird im Zimmer bereit gestellt - verlangt aber utopische Preise für Zimmer, die jeder anständige Gastronom nicht anbieten würde !

Older hotel below a walled keep.

We booked this hotel on line and didn't know anything about the town. We arrived late and had to call the hostess to gain entry. The hotel is older but comfortable the room and bathroom were everything we needed. The hotel is right on a beautiful river over looked by the ruins of an old keep and you can see the walls descending to enclose the small town. You can also see a lot of the lower wall by the river with the old gate near the hotel. The hotel was next to a bridge crossing the river and road traffic started pretty early.

Das Hotel liegt schön am Main. Wir hatten ein sehr großes Doppelzimmer zur Brücke hin. Das ist sehr laut, was uns aber bei der Buchung gesagt wurde. Es gibt leisere Zimmer zur anderen Seite. Total nettes Personal, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Abendessen auf der Terrasse mit Main und Abendsonne war toll.

no reception service on a Thursday. only information left was in German (lots of english tourist info around the town) lucky for us another guest informed use who to call . the lady on the phone only spoke German. I managed to get hold of someone who spoke English and he was able to check me in over the phone and give me a number for a key safe out side the door our room was clean but had two single beds in had asked for a queen size . very dated t.v with very few channels no fire instructions or emergency contact details. and with no staff on site very worrying the room was extremely noisey with traffic going by the widow (room 41) all night . i tried to close the outer sunblinds hoping this would reduce the noise but the first one I tried broke and fell strate to the closed position with a huge Bang so I left the other one as it was half open I managed to get a poster in the bathroom translated over face book that said. close bathroom door you will sleep better you can't close the curtains so the room is very light in the morning. only sparkling water left in the room no still water

Decent stay

Good location for us. Reception unmanned, hotel all but closed on Wed and Thu, but there is a little key safe, you are given the combo by phone. Rooms large, clean. Fridge, some free water. Breakfast from seven AM. Good bread with cheese or meats,muesli, boiled eggs coffee orange juice etc. Decent. Mostly workers atm. Bed a little bouncy but there are two if you keep each other awake. Blinds keep it dark. Bathroom modernised and has a window. Soap and shower gel. Old TV. From Sun or Mo they offer 4 nights for three at about 230€ for four nights with own bathroom and breakfast.
