Room bed was dirty, floors not swept and dirty, around 20 broken A/C units lined up inside on hallway, dead cockroack in restroom. The A/C iin room would only work to turn on or off. The temp control did not work so it would get real cold in the night (59 degrees), then you needed to get up and turn off manually. Then it would get hot and so on and on.

Upon walking into the room, the smell of mildew was extreme. As we are inspecting the room, there were leftovers in the fridge. I informed the attendant at the front desk and he immediately took care of it, which i highly appreciated! THE BEDS WERE EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE, but then again there is nothing compared to your own. Overall our stay was Ok, just a few minor hiccups.

Horrible stay

This hotel was supposed to be the Newest in town,well it was pretty gross to say the least,staff was not friendly and had no idea how to see my room reservation on Hotels.com,she was actually cooking a waffle at 4pm and proceeded to tell me she had been there since 5am without eating all day,hotel smelled like mildew and sewage as soon as we walked into lobby,bed linens did not look fresh and bathroom was disgusting,my son saw towels on some of the doorways when we were walki g to our room and after reading sone reviews online found out that roacges are a problem in the evenings so the towels are placed in doorways to keep them from entering under doors,there went our clean towels,I elwoll never stay here again and recommend Hotels.com remove them from the list of places to stay in Freer,stick to the Best Western

A couple of lows that I could not overlook and I expect it to be an average low cost stay, so my expectations aren't high. First, you were forced to leave a cash deposit. Not a lot but if I've already paid for the stay I generally am not going to have cash, take my card! Then, the room didn't have the AC on at all, so we had to change for a wedding while it just began to cool. Then the room had an odor, not sure from smoking or alcohol but it was noticeable. And lastly at checkout I had my gf take the keys while I took a quick shower and was going to meet her at the car. And for some reason the clerk decided to come and check that the room was empty and walked in on me (wet and nude) trying to get something on to answer the door. When I looked out the peephole he was already leaving so I don't know why he came back. This was after she told him that I was getting a shower....it wasn't even housekeeping, it was the guy at the front desk and the hotel had almost no one there. Would not recommend.
