It was just a great place to stay. Very quaint, the Inn keepers were very friendly and helpful with what to do in the surrounding areas. Lots of outlet namebrand outlet stores and of course the new LL Bean Flagship store. Which was amazing. Would definitely stay again

We booked a stay at the James Place Inn based on reviews that we read on a few travel sites. I can't even begin to express how well-deserved each and every one of those reviews actually is! Robin and Tori are incredible hosts, pleasant, friendly, easy to talk to, and made us feel right at home before we even got there! We drove up from NYC on a Friday afternoon and hit more traffic than we anticipated, so we called ahead to let the staff know we'd be late. Tori answered the phone and told us...

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Kendall Inn. The staff were very welcoming and their cooking was excellent. They even accommodated my gluten allergy at meals. Would highly recommend staying here!

Very cute B and B. Nice personal touches, snacks and extra amenities, toys for your pet, wonderful breakfast. Connie was very personable and knew alot about surrounding area. Within walking of lots of shops and restaurants. Perfect spot. Clean, would stay again.

Going to the Harraseeket Inn is like time traveling, but with the option of taking a smart phone and having the electricity to charge it. It's like that movie, "Somewhere in Time," like you've walked through a time portal by the power of hypnotic suggestion and an Expedia booking. But it is very much, at the same time, part of the present. They have a pool, and the restaurant is quintessentially the definition of a timeless Maine eatery. The afternoon tea is pleasant and steeped with charm. The...

The staff were excellent as was the accommodations such as the indoor heated pool and the breakfast. My wife and I were above all, very blessed to be able to have our "puppy-dog," with us!

Despite friendly and cooperative staff there is much more that needs to be done as far as making sure there is clean linen and amenities that are readily available.

The Econo lodge had everything I needed. I was greeted by a very friendly front desk lady who made sure to give me a quiet room. The room was clean and comfortable. I also liked the fact there was no carpet ( you never know what’s lurking in those even in the more plush hotels). A small continental breakfast was provided, nothing over the top but there was hot coffee and some basic breakfast items. This is not a luxury hotel however I was pleased with my stay and paid half of what some of the...

We booked our stay at The Federal just because it looked nice and seemed like a good price. What we discovered was a wonderful and chic hotel with an extremely comfortable room in a completely remodeled hotel. We’ll definitely stay at The Federal again.

Centrally located in the Old Port, with views of the harbor, this was a last minute — therefore pricey — excellent find for a fall weekend getaway. Stylish, elegant rehab of 19th century granite industrial building. Whimsical decor notes referring to 19th century owner Evalina Fox. Nicely appointed kitchenette — though if you came to Portland for the foodie scene, you might end up just using it for breakfast, as we did. Only sour note was the disco music (coming in via the ventilation...
