Quaint, all the details, romantic, secluded. It is about 15 minutes south of Fredericksburg. The animals were so fun and we enjoyed the views. They even provided snacks for us to feed the animals. Great little getaway!

This was an amazing stay! We felt like we were deep in the country, but only 15 minutes to downtown. The free roaming mini donkeys and llama were so much fun and so sweet. Make sure to buy plenty of extra treat bags along with apples and pears. Slice the apples and Pears so they are so they are easy to feed to the animals and they will greet you at the door in the morning. Don't forget to feed the mini cows at the gate - they are sweet and love all the treats and fruit as well.

Extremely nice and relaxing stay, will be ultimate with the family where we enjoyed feeding the animals , sitting around the fire Pit watching the fireflies and counting the stars. Clean, the owner thought of everything thing you might need since the property is in the middle of nowhere. We will definitely revisit. Thank you.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location was peaceful and tranquil. My morning view of the back patio and field were beautiful. The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was awesome and supplied with everything to have a relaxing bath. The provided food was delicious. My only complaint was the eggs were bad and there was an open container of milk and juice in the fridge. I suggest checking the fridge when you restock for the next guest. I recommend and will visit again.

Not worth the price

Upon arriving at the property, which is definitely "off the beaten path" we encountered pretty tight parking, with 1 other guest parked near us. We found our cabin relatively easy and were able to access the room pretty easy. The room is smaller than the pictures advertise and we also discovered our neighbors presence upstairs after we settled into a chair and started getting unpacked. As we continued navigating our way around the room and attached bathroom we noticed several things. First off, many of the snacks at the bar were expired. The bottle of wine was from California. The tv took forever to turn on and never able to get the cable box to fully power up and so the screen just stayed black. At shower time, my bf noticed the shower head was terrible and the water pressure and spray are very poor. The shower head sprays in a single, 1 ½inch sized stream. When it was my turn, I wanted a jetted bath, but the bubble bath that was set out for use was completely empty. My boyfriend and I also noticed the toilet seat was very lose and also very small. As the night went on we enjoyed the peacefulness, but that was never fully enjoyable as the room got very hot and stuffy. We could never figure out the a/c and, of course there's no ceiling fan and so we finally decided on the short floor stand fan that was in a corner of the room. It blew a moderate amount of air our direction. Overall, I probably wouldn't book this B&B again. However, the donkeys are super friendly and sweet.

Off the beaten path

This cabin is WAY off the beaten path, it is absolutely beautiful and relatively peaceful. I say relatively because you can hear people above you walking, but we were never really bothered by them. Beautiful sunrise. Zero cars driving by. The livestock were friendly and fun to chat with and pet. There were literally dozens of dear right close to the fence in the morning. My only caution would be to realize you have a good 20-25 minute drive from Fredericksburg and if your doing that for the first time late at night then be very careful about the wildlife that can suddenly jump in front of you. Not a negative, but do be careful. The cabin was spacious and well furnished. The heat worked great and was quite on our visit. Overall we had a great visit.
