The staff were friendly and the room had some positives, including clean linen, a good-sized TV and convenient parking, but unfortunately the overall experience was very poor. The hotel felt in need of a thorough clean and better maintenance. There was thick dust on ledges and surfaces, smeared glass, sticky breakfast tables, dusty artificial plants and noticeable limescale in the bathroom. The extractor fan did not work,...

"The parking is limited here. The establishment changed owners earlier this year. The rooms have been refreshed, and are quite reasonable. Rooms at the front overlooking the road are extremely noisy from any passing people or traffic. The food menu has been substantially changed and it is now not as extensive or as well prepared. This used to be our go to place near the M5 if we needed an overnight stop in the vicinity, but no longer."

"The staff were extremely helpful when we suffered a bad experience with our food on our first night's stay. Stick to the basic meals on the menu, like the burgers and fish and chips! We booked a bed, breakfast and evening meal deal for 2 nights, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but, on reflection, should have booked everything separately, because we would be over £100 better off!! Apart from being placed at the worst, and least private, table in the restaurant, we only had a limited menu...
