Clean room but the whole place needs updating, and sooner rather than later. Small tweaks would improve it : better in room kitchen, there was an unsafe tap; tidy up the grounds, we had a view of an abandoned motel; get a new sign up. And finally, consider opening up the on site restaurant. There is a fantastic view of Mount Cook from here, the motel should make more of it. I wouldn't recommend staying here in it's present state.

No trained staff, Mini bar fridge, can't be more mini, and grew mould inside. Bedside lamp has broken switch, not functioning. Paid $4 laundry machine doesn't work at all. For more than $300 a night, that is a rip-off deal. Total Micky mouse business down here.

The room we had was great. Very good sound proofing. Spaciou room.Comfortable chairs. Ex bed. Office area was ex. 2 things though - cafe and dining area was closed and our room had only 2 cups, 1 wine glass. Electric jug. No spoons or crockery. Car park weedy and scruffy.

The owners appear to be new to the business. The lady was friendly and helpful. The laundry area worked well but could use a cleaning. The shower door leaked water onto the floor which could cause problems over time. A few more dishes would have been useful ie bowls for cereal.

The property is new and clean. The service is excellent. There looks like a future space for a restaurant . That will help because town centre is a drive away. Therefore they need to look at kitchenette facilities in rooms. You need more than a kettle. Please supply a toaster and microwave! You have the room to do so. Your generous size kitchen sink needs hot water! Improve your kitchen and you will be top stars.

In need of some TLC

Arrived at 5pm to a note for check-in and never saw any staff at all. The room was basic but tired and in need of updating. There was a musty smell overpowered by a sweet perfume smell. Bedding and towels clean. Good hot shower. Two cups but only one drinking glass and no teaspoons. ‘Fridge noisy and had to turn off. Could hear shower in neighbouring room. No bedside lights meant getting out of bed to put light on/off. The light outside of bedroom window was bright and on all night. Quiet overnight. Overall if you want a cheap bed for the night it’s ok but don’t expect much.

For the price, this place was good for an overnight stop. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable - we got a great night's sleep. A bit basic amenity-wise. The glacier viewpoint further along the road is very good. Book a table for dinner at one of the village eateries if you want to dine early.

Toilet seat wasn't attached.TV wouldn't go Said it was a hotel but no restaurant and no toaster or plates in room. No milk. No spare roll of toilet paper and we ran out. Curtains had broken hooks and weren't attached properly. Grounds very untidy with long grass and weeds. We definately won't be staying again.
