I loved the location of this property right on the edge of the preserved open area. It was close to Fort Collins, but far enough out to enjoy the country drives and the deer every evening. The walk to the top of the road is scenic and perfect in the evening. Longer hikes were close by and offered lots of Colorado wildlife. We did try fishing in the reservoir but unsuccessfully. I think I fed a lot of fish, but they are too smart for me. The geese were friendly and joined me for breakfast early in the morning.
The house suited our needs and allowed us to invite a friend to lunch who could not navigate stairs due to the lower level access through the garage. You can’t access the bedrooms without stairs. The baths were clean and spacious. I know it is a challenge to keep carpet looking good in the snow, but the downstairs carpet is not in great shape. We had all the supplies we needed and room to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped. I specifically looked for a grill outside when I booked.
They even came and took out the trash while we were there and we never knew they came in the garage. Texts from the property manager made communication easy and straightforward.
We really enjoyed our trip and I feel like we were able to really get away.
