The particular cabin No.14 that I stayed in was quite rustic. The owner and cleaning staff were extremely helpful for which I am very grateful.

The cabin was okay! We stayed in the cabin because we were in town for a wedding. The cabin doesn’t have blackout curtains so after a long night out you are awake early. The toilet in our cabin was very loose so it made a loud bang every time we sat down. It was however convenient for the wedding at the forest hill house wedding location.

Sweet, nice
Convenient to the wedding site, decent parking, easily accessible keypad tho the door stuck. Stunning bathroom and all amenities as expected. TV remote didn't work and there was a small pile of trash left on a shelf by the cleaners but I was only there for 18 hours so fine for an overnight.

Perfect spot in Foresthill for families.
Great little spot with clean accomodations. Perfect for families. Easy to find, easy to park, easy check in. Pillows/blankets/pull out couch could have been a little better but the beds themselves were pretty comfortable. Nicely renovated. Super cute. Will stay again and will recommend to others.

I liked the open part of the property we ate dinner with our friends that stayed in another cabin. Cabins were cute, I loved all the little details. Our tub was clogged that was a negative. Nice hike around the reservoir. Food options nearby were good but limited.

We loved the set up of all the individual cabins. They were very well decorated. The common area was awesome and had lawn games. There was a dog park and playground within walking distance. And little shops and restaurants within walking. Definitely coming back!

This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend!

Nice stay
Everything was great except the AC unit was a little too loud. Also the shower doesn’t have a door. It made a bit of a mess. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. Really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen, and the outside area. Kids had allot of fun playing outside.

Bring your own sheets.
The cabin is cute and quaint with historical charm.
With that being said, I disliked that the bedding sheets had previous guests’ hairs and bits of black and brown specks. I wasn’t sure what those specks were, but thankfully I brought my own sheets just in case. Also the bed post had a missing knob and left a screw exposed which scraped me when I walked by.
The pull-out couch was also dirty once we pulled out the bed. It had many food crumbs and hairs on top of the mattress. I thought maybe it could have been fallen crumbs from snacks being eaten on the couch, but the way the bed folds in, the food would not have been able to get between the crevices. This showed that the pull-out couch had not been cleaned after the previous guests.
Overall I don’t mind that the cabin is very old or had a missing knob that scraped me. We actually loved the cabin up until we had to go to bed and realized the sheets and pull-out bed were dirty. Cleanliness plays a huge role on my comfort and my comfort for my family. I paid a lot to stay here, it would have been nice to sleep comfortably in beds with clean sheets. The fact they charge a cleaning fee but don’t even provide clean sheets is ridiculous.

I had a wonderful time here! Although the theme is "rustic mining camp", the little cabins were very clean and the bathroom and kitchenette very modern and nicely finished. Loved the creative decorating with antique and old "repurposed" items! Looking forward to a future stay with the extended family and utilizing the central lawn/BBQ kitchen/corn hole and horseshoes....
