"The hotel is magical - the staff super friendly. The decor elegant - remodel very well done - its very chic and not done in cheep way - the quality of toiletries and tea in room are high end - organic - wish we could stay here longer. The only thing to watch out for is check-in is closed from 12h-15h. The stairway up to the rooms is a bit narrow. Not a problem but just to be aware if you use oversized luggage. I would defiantly stay here again. "

"Meals are special from an a la carte menu or a choice of other meals,everything was cooked from fresh ingrediants, attractive place to stay in ,only a short distance from Lyndhurst. Lovely walks in the New Forest ,the room was comfortable, my only bugbear was that there was no black out blinds at the window. Continental breakfast in the weekday, full English at weekends.A very pleasant stay."

"The Prince Consort is a nice local pub which also has rooms for bed and breakfast. I enjoyed the full English breakfast, which included very good quality bacon and sausages and all the usual ingredients. The coffee was especially delicious. I was visiting for a family funeral which was catered for there too. The buffet for the wake was also very good."

"The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

"Everything I wanted and more. Great location for taking in the shops and restaurants of Poole. Easy walk from the train station and just minutes to the touristic ferries. Nice breakfast to start the day! David, the proprietor makes sure that needs are met - a very conscientious host! Highly recommend!"

"It was a great stop for us in our walk in the area . Staff very kind and friendly , food tasty (we had the homemade curry ) . Drinks were also good we had a draught beer and cider. It’s lovely to find people taking on a business and improving it . We didn’t use it but there is a large car park and garden at the rear "

"The Fox was a lovely place to stay while visiting family. The meal that we had on the first night was extremely good, and we had been told that the breakfast was going to be just as good. Unfortunately this was not the case. My husband had the full English, but the black sausage was so dried out that when he put his fork in it it broke into tiny pieces (inedible). The bacon wasn't much better. The hash brown and the mushrooms were ok. However, he was asked how he would like his egg, which...
