The room was far too bright, curtains were pretty much useless as even when open, there was no change in the light within the room at night. The general noise in the entire place was loud so didn’t make for an easy night sleep. Great location overlooking the sea. Car park could do with a decent tarmac job and lanes bays

Just the area its good... The hotel its very very bad... No hot water on 102 room Dirty behind imagination Smells like hell See view window like prison.. The room it was cut in the middle and centre of the window.. I fell sorry for the owner he has a very good location but the hotel needs investment to be in minimum condition

Hotel staff just barge into the rooms without knocking half the time, housekeeping opened the door to me laying half naked in bed with my girlfriend at 8 in the morning on a weekend. Rooms are dirty and provide you with tiny plastic cups. Shower pressure is horrendous. Fire alarms going off at all sorts of hours - and the fire alarm in my room is broken and doesnt even sound like an alarm, just sounds like some sort of dying cat. Owner is too casual about the fire alarms and claims that it’s due to people smoking in their rooms which concerns me because the place could be burning down and he wouldnt even notice!!! Sinks are awful and the kettle is basically useless because you cant fit it in the sink to fill it up. You get provided with one roll of abrasive one ply toilet roll. TV doesnt work. Heaters give out headachy hot air which left me with migraines for a few days, resulting in me having to open the window which just makes it too cold in here. When the windows are closed, they get covered in condensation and are only single glaze. Whole place smells, stairs are wonky and inaccessible to get up with any sort of luggage. Lift only goes from the second floor upwards - and apparently hasnt worked in ages. Claims to be soundproof but I can literally hear everything going on all the way down the hall. Mould in the rooms made me ill. Barely any room to move around in the room. Man downstairs is creepy toward young girls.

I checked in Friday afternoon after travelling hours pictures looked really nice ov the hotel online the price was really cheap for 5nights. When I got into my room it was not what I was shown the room was dirty the bed was not a bed you could stay in the intire room was not clean it was that bad i booked another hotel and left, before I left they asked me if I wanted to see another room I said no because the standards of that room was desticable I was very disappointed. The money I spent on the room they should fix it up as I’ve had no emails to even say I could have some of my money back I was in the room no more than 15 minutes! How they can even charge to stay in that room is beyond me

Do not stay here, dirty smelly bathroom, chipped furniture- old wooden dark, nothing like the pictures on website, tatty, awful. Felt unsafe & dark / dingy. My 15 year old was literally in tears with how awful it is. Thankfully only a stop off from ferry trip but not a place I would ever set foot in again

There was nothing to like when we turned up. the room smelt badly like it had not been cleaned .the carpet was worn old and smelt .we looked out onto a muddy if u call it a car park. The bed was shabby and the head board wasn't even attached to anything.its one of those places where u just felt dirty wen uwalked out.there was people drinking cans on the bench as u walked up the steps it is just advertised I'll say wrongly I wouldn't advise anyone to stay there unless ur homeless and even then that's at a push.

If I could give it a minus star I would have. Even though arranged for a room with easy access I was put on the second floor. Stairs are dangerous. Was then put in a ground floor facing a terrible dodgy carpark and could bot open the window because anyone could look in or even get in through window. Was then moved to another room which was much better but even though it states seaview there was very little to view through the dirty windows. The drains smelled really bed and the shower took 5 minutes to warm up, I wont even start with the water pressure. Their website shows that there is a lift but apparently it has not been working for a very long time now. The only nice thing about it was the location and staff were friendly. Will definitely not recommend this place. This is not a 3 star as indicated. The carpet was not even vacuumed and I did not take my shoes off at all. It is advertised as soundproof but it is absolutely not.

Advertised on the website was : Full breakfast, but being english that meant to us bacon, eggs etc but it was full continental. The room was fine, clean etc, but a bedside light would have been an asset. Other that that ,staff very friendly & helpful.

I wasnt expecting the Ritz as this is a budget hotel. However, i expected to get what i booked. We booked a comfort room with sea view. We had a small double bed that was low and very uncomfortable, you could feel every spring, we couldnt see the sea due to the amount of condensation on the window. When making the reservation it said we would have a queen bed and a newly renovated room. The carpet looked like it was from the 80s and had never been cleaned it was filthy, we didnt dare take off our socks. When opening the draws they were full of broken wood. Thats without the state of the bathroom. The floor looked like sandpaper rather than lino, the bath and sink had nasty limescale marks all over. We had to ask for a plug. The shower hose was coiled up in the corner of the bath and looked filthy. The advert also said the rooms were soundproof, we could hear everyone around us, plus they had music playing downstairs till late which you could hear clearly in the room. As well as people shouting in the corridor at 1am!! The room smelt musty which was off putting. We were booked for 2 nights we only stayed the one as we couldnt stay any longer. If we hadnt of arrived so late in the day, i dont think we would have stayed at all. We left first thing in the morning.

There was no hot water reported it in the morning couldn’t wait and couldn’t wash as had early appointment that’s why stayed in the area there was a blood stain pillow on the bed the lamp gave me numerous electric shocks so turned of in end wasn’t clean at all room number 113 not good experience at all there

Not what you expect

Avoid at all costs room was filthy black mould around bathroom no catch or lock on bathroom lift dont work windows held together by bits of metal and room is nothing like what they show on the website room was very small with only 1 cup 1 seat 1 bedside cabinet and its ment to be a double room ? We left after 2 hrs of booking in after seeing old men and young girls turning up a couple of times so could only guess whats going on here
