The location was great and close to everything . The staff was excellent and very helpful . The property had a little garden area and the they were very accommodating . They held our luggage after check out so we could enjoy the time until our ride was ready to get us the room was very spacious .

My daughter and I were traveling through Italy and stayed at Maison Santa Croce for 5 nights. The area of the hotel was quiet, not in the tourist area but very convenient to the heart of Florence. We will definitely stay again when in Florence.

Lovely hotel, modern room in an old building, perfect. Staff friendly & helpful. Handy to all that Florence has to offer. Taxi from the train station was the way to go to get to & fro. Recommend this hotel.

I loved my stay at Maison Santa Croce. It is easy to get to; the taxi left me right at the door. The staff at the reception were nice and welcoming, and explained the details of getting in at night, including the codes, perfectly well. The property is beautifully decorated, it makes you feel that you are in someone's Pallazzo. My room was very spacious (plenty of room for my luggage). It had two windows, being a corner room, so in the morning, it received a lot of light. However, the shutters provided a complete blackout at night. The street is quiet, even though it is a block away from Santa Croce Square. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options: cheeses, meats, salmon, avocado, boiled eggs, fruit cereals, granola, many different kinds of savoury and sweet bread, spreads, and they made wonderful cappuccinos. I could not recommend enough that you choose to stay at this place on your visit to Florence, and the area is beautiful and also quiet. Most certainly would stay again.

There was an unpleasant odour in the room coming from the bathroom. The air conditioning even turned off made a constant noise. Comfortable mattress and good location.

Look no further for a real 10!

Great location, great price, great staff and great rooms for traveling with a family with adult children. They can arrange rooms and beds. They make up the couch for sleeping beautifully if they know in advance you need it. They have large rooms, beautiful decor, snacks and family consensus of —best shower on our entire trip 8 days - 5 hotels and 4 cities. We even stayed longer than planned. Staff is so kind and helpful.

Beautiful area and perfectly walkable to a lot of the stuff we wanted to see. Lots of great eating spots between 5-20 mins of walking. It also felt less touristy than other parts of Florence which was great for us. Santa Croce is the not so hidden but less gross gem of Florence. The hotel itself is nice, clean and clean. Since the front desk is only open from 8:30 am - 8 pm we had a little bit of a panic trying to get a taxi to the airport at 8:30am on Wednesday morning when it wasn’t open yet. Thankfully the person came in 10 mins later and was able to get to us a taxi quickly and we made it well in time.

Had a fantastic stay. Room was lovely and located just steps from Basilica Santa Croce with an abundance of fantastic restaurants and shopping close by. I would definitely recommend and will return early next year as I adore Florence❤️

Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Tuscany

This was our second time staying in this beautiful building (though under a different hotel name previously), and once again it did not disappoint. The service was exceptional—the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. We especially appreciated the clear instructions for parking, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Our room was spotless, with fresh ironed bedsheets that made the stay feel extra comfortable. Breakfast was included—while the selection wasn’t extensive, it was perfectly sufficient for a light start to the day. And with so many incredible restaurants nearby in Tuscany, you’ll never run out of great dining options anyway! We truly enjoyed our stay at Maison Santa Croce and would be happy to return again. Highly recommended.
