"Breakfast is avaliable which is wonderful, but same items daily. No air conditioning, they said it was because of the time of the year, luckily it wasn't hot. Wonderful staff and very clean. Great location on Las Ramblas. "

"The rooms are pretty small. We just came off a cruise ship in Barcelona and the room was smaller than our cruise cabin. Our room faced the west and it got scorching hot in the afternoon. We turned the A/C nob the the max and there was no cooling. We phoned the reception to ask and the answer was that the central air conditioning was not turned on and they asked us to open the window. This reminded me of my younger days of staying at 10 dollar hostels backpacking in Asia. But the 250 Euro per night price tag pulled me back to reality. At least they provided a 5 Euro plastic fan. But it was pretty noisy with the window open and I couldn't sleep at all. Also we couldn't close the curtains since they will block the window and stopped the airflow. So by 4am as the sun rose nobody could sleep anymore. The hotel staff also seemed very annoyed with our questions as if we should have expected no A/C. They said it's government policy to have no A/C but I have never heard of such policy. There were only one bath towel in the room so we had to call for another. The gym was very small. The only saving grace was the breakfast was plentiful. But for 18 Euros it should be. So it's nothing to write home about. We later changed to another hotel near Sants (I won't disclose here) of a large international brand. It cost 60 Euro less and had A/C, balcony, full gym, pool, welcome drink of a cocktail, and enough towels. Apparently the "government policy" only governs Hotel Vilamari."

"we had a terrible sewer smell in our 1st room floor. there was some gap opening that was not sealed on the floor under pull out couch that the sewer smell was coming from. it was so bad we went to local store and bought some plastic tape and taped the opening shut which solved the issue. before that it was making my kids sick from smell. the property should address this . other than that it was ok. they did make an effort to come and clean when i complained about the smell but they did not actually solve the issue. other than that the bed was comfortable and bathroom nice. the windows really did provide a lot of coverage on first floor though.. kind of felt like people could see in the bathroom from outside which was weird. the street was noisy although it was during semana santa so that was kind of expected. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Rialto. Lots of restaurants bars to choose from. Great neighborhood. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff extremely helpful with recommendations. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choices. Would definitely stay there again. "

"AC and heater were difficult to figure out. In room safe didn't work. The shower has no door, so water goes all over the ground in the bathroom. The hotel itself is nice, comfortable bed, friendly staff, very nice rooftop pool and bar. Great location."
