Excellent value for the prize we paid. Highly recommended. Staff was extremely welcoming. Khald, the very friendly manager, sent us his WhatsApp number through the website. When we wrote back that we would arrive late, he was super helpful explaining us how to get to the Riad and offering to pick us up from the nearest parking. He welcomed us with mint tea and took plenty of time to explain the Medina to us. Rooms are nice. It does get cold at night in the winter months though. It is a small and quiet place. Only four rooms. Very nice breakfast in the morning on the patio. A roof terras with a partial view and some sun. Stairs are narrow, best to travel with light backpacks and not bulky suitcases. Note that the location given in the coordinates on Orbitz are not correct!!! It is close by though. The Riad is just 2 min from entrance for the parking Ain Azliten. (Ask your red petit taxi to drop you there. Costs should be only 20-30 Dh. Best to agree before getting in.) It is a small side street of the Main Street in the Medina, where you can only go on foot. There is a small sign spray painted on the wall above the side street and right of the door, but it is easy to miss signs the first time. Arranging for them to pick you up would be less stressful. The Medina itself is very busy, not very everyone.

Recomendable para viajeros sin exigencias ni lujos

Nos hemos alojado una pareja dos días y en primer lugar Khalid se puso en contacto con nosotros días antes de nuestra llegada interesándose por si necesitabamos alguna cosa. Nos asesoró y ayudó en alguna cosa como la llegada al Riad desde el aeropuerto o en la adquisición de una tarjeta sim para tener internet en Fez. Es muy amable y servicial y eso es de agradecer. Hablábamos con él en inglés. En cuanto al Riad está en muy buena ubicación en Fez, a tan solo 3-4 minutos andando de la Blue Door (Bab Boujlaud) que es la puerta de entrada más conocida y principal de La Medina. También se encuentra a unos 50 metros de una de las calles principales por lo que es tranquilo y a la vez está al lado del ir y venir de personas y del acceso a comer o comprar algo si lo necesitas casi a cualquier hora. El estar cerca de la calle principal Talaa Kabira también te permite que sea algo más fácil en la siempre laberíntica Medina de Fez. Si alquiláis coche también hay una zona muy amplia, una explanada, muy cerca para aparcamiento junto a la puerta citada que por unos 15 dh (1,5 €) puedes aparcar todo el día. El alojamiento es familiar y el típico Riad con patio central y habitaciones alrededor en una o más plantas. No es un Riad muy grande. Sólo 4 habitaciones pero es acogedor, tranquilo y siempre con la figura de Khalid para ayudarte. También te ofrecen posibilidad de comer en el Riad (te ofrecen un menú que tú decides si te apetece comer allí también). En resumen, recomendable!!
