"The breakfast was amazing and really delicious. The chef asked about any dietary restrictions (we had none) but so very thoughtful. The grounds looked a bit ragged and not up kept. The room was very nice, but there was a communal refrigerator, which was not ideal. We brought a cooler with ice to store drinks. The location was ideal. Close to the center of town, about a half a mile and many options for lunch and dinner. "

"The noise level is … terrible here. Although a secondary road, it’s used by 18 wheelers…. All night long. Our AC window unit was quite loud (a mixed blessing/deterrent) but not very productive in cooling the room. The sun rises at 5am… and you will know it because it BLASTS into the room with minimal light filtering. We were here for 9 hours only, checking in after 11:30 (lovely desk clerk at night relayed how to find the keys after hours!). However, never having seen a human manning the...

"This historic hotel is a classic - well maintained with period furniture; fireplace, books, and memorabilia in the downstairs lounge area; even an elevator. The bathrooms were updated with new tile and sparkling clean grout. Plenty of hot water."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Old Lantern Inn in Charlotte VT. Our room was large with a king and a twin bed and views of Lake Champlain. The inn was very quiet and clean. We can’t say enough about the innkeeper Lisa; she went above and beyond to ensure that not only were our needs met, but our expectations exceeded. Continental breakfast is modest but tasty.
