Excellent stay! Nicely furnished and well-equipped condo. The only downside was issuing 3 adults only 1 key; and, because of the reduced/deleted office hours, we weren't able to seek an additional key(s).

Weekend vacation

Great property in a fantastic location, as we were visiting Durango to watch basketball games at the College. Have stayed here before and would stay here again. Management staff make it so easy!

Comfortable and quiet

This property was great proximity to downtown and the college. The kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation and dining. The beds were comfortable and the property was very quiet. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Oldie but a goodie

While the property is dated, it is very clean and well maintained. For the price and distance to downtown and other attractions, it was one of the top deals in the area. Pool, hot tub, sauna, and a private deck, all with a view of the mountains.

Not as advertised

This room was listed as 2 queen beds 2bdr 2 bath sleeps 6. Not for handicapped. This is 42 stairs from your car and some shaky decking. Only 1 queen bed. And two twins in another room. No air conditioning. The living area was so hot you could not use it. Bedrooms where hot too even after opening windows. Did not sleep well at all in my little hot camp bed. The price was great but I would pay for good nights sleep.

Broken shower

The shower was broken, so no shower the first night (then they fixed it). Behind the night stand was at least an inch of dirt, lint - had not been cleaned for months.... over charged for a tour we scheduled through then. No attempt was made to make amends for any of these things. The area of Freycinet is beautiful and worth the trip.

Not all condos are created equal at this property.

This was our second visit to the Ferringway Condomniums. Last year we stayed in a nicely updated 2 bedroom condominium, this years unit looked like no one had touched it since 1985. From the tacky decorations to the crusty bathroom hardware, it was obvious that not all condos are created equal at this property. Unfortunately you get what they give you. Also, I was told by the property manager this specific reservation was made through a subsidy of Expedia which explains why I could never get anyone to answer my 3 request to add an additional night to the reservation. On the bright side, the property management was pleasant (they added a night for me at a better rate!), the grounds were lovely, and the locations is perfect for dropping off kids at Fort Lewis College.

Appart Hotel confortable. Service à améliorer

Appart-Hotel confortable, vaste, très bien équipé. 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain, un grand séjour, une grande cuisine. Tout le linge est compris. La cuisine a tout ce qu'il faut. Bien situé à Durango. A 5 minutes en voiture du centre ville, proche du Lewis College. Quelques commentaires néanmoins à faire sur le service. Sur la réservation il était demandé d'arriver avant 18h. Ce que nous avons fait. Nous y étions à 17h. Mais personne. Juste une affiche sur la porte de la réception avec un numéro qui ne répond pas de suite. Heureusement qu'un de nos téléphones avait une option internationale pour pouvoir appeler... Après plusieurs appels, on nous explique que la clé est dans une enveloppe dans une boite. On se débrouille donc. Pas beaucoup d'explication. La piscine n'était pas ouverte tous les jours. Alors que sur la réservation il est noté tous les jours de 8h à 21h. Le ménage était fait tous les 4 jours mais la personne venait à 8h du matin ... alors que nous sommes en vacances !!! Une première fois, on lui dit de revenir mais 4 jours plus tard, rebelote ... 8h on frappe à la porte ! Mauvaise insonorisation entre les appartements. On entendait tout ce qui se passait au dessus de nous. Le service est à revoir ... accueil, fonctionnement du lieu, ménage etc... Cela manquait de présence ... surtout à l'arrivée !

Nice, quiet, convenient location!

The staff was out of the office when we arrived, but promptly returned when we called. The condo itself was older, but in good condition for it’s age. It was stocked well. It could have been a little cleaner, but overall was ok. Unfortunately the fire in Durango when we stayed there made everything in and out of the unit smell like smoke. But this was not really a fault of the condo. The area was nice and quiet, very convenient to activities and safe! The pool was freezing, but in good condition and unfortunately the hot tub was closed. Overall we had a nice stay!

Total disappointment

The Ferringway "Resort" is actually a condo rental. The reception area and the condo I booked were not at all what I expected in terms of age and condition. I am a frequent traveler at home and abroad, and I chose not to stay here.

Great Condo!

Our stay was fantastic. There was plenty of room for my family of four (two adults and two kids under 10) plus my two brothers. The condo was cute, very clean and well stocked. The area was convenient and beautiful!

Clean condo with great mountain view. Only downfall was all the steps we had to climb to get to the unit & the hot tub was not in working order. Otherwise condo was well equipped & good location just outside of town.

Very noisy on the first level

Try and get a second level unit if available. These units are not constructed well to abate sound. This is a college town and therefore expect college kids doing what college kids do in a unit close to your unit. We had a unit above us that sounded like 2-3 large dogs running and jumping on bare floors and very poorly insulated and that was loud. The real noise started when the dogs drunk and very loud college age owners came home at about 11:00 and stood out on what must have been a balcony right above the master bedroom and had lot's of drunk drama discussions while letting the dogs run around in the back yard. I know this is not atypical behavior for college kids but I wish the owners would add this important fact to the description of the property. We had a six week old baby that was trying to sleep after a long day in the car and that was not helping any of us sleep until the kids decided it was time to sleep.

In Need of Updates/Refreshing

We had booked a one-bedroom unit but found that the unit had a loft where the master bedroom was located and that access to the loft was via a spiral staircase. With no bathroom in the loft it made for a scary decent during the night so we took a pass on using the master bedroom. The other bedroom was on the main level and contained twin beds with closet doors that easily came off the track. Luckily, we did not book this unit for a romantic getaway. The furniture throughout was mismatched and had the look of thrift store finds. The bathroom was tiny and the lighting in the bathtub/toilet area was very poor. The bathroom faucets/hardware, according to the handyman who had to help us with making the shower work, were original to the condo which looked to have been built in the 70's or 80's. Whoever repaired the seams in the bathroom wallpaper let the adhesive seep onto the wallpaper leaving white smears in many places. It looked like there had been an accident with the fireplace allowing the fire to erupt thru the fireplace doors discoloring the brass trim. The only view from this unit was that of other units in the complex. The unit had baseboard heat and window air conditioners--we prefer central air.

Parfait pour un séjour en famille

Appartement spacieux et bien équipé. Le Wi-Fi fonctionnait très bien et rien à redire sur la propreté et le linge mis à disposition (un torchon dans la cuisine serait malgré tout bien utile). Des glaçons supplémentaires dans le congélateur auraient été appréciés. Par contre, nous avons été ennuyés par le non respect de la configuration des chambres choisies lors de notre réservation. Nous avions choisi un appartement avec 2 salles de bain et 2 chambres (une avec un lit double et une avec 2 lits jumeaux).
