room was lovely and clean, amenities are good, arcade needs a little bit of a revamp due to damage from patrons but still fun on rainy days.
The lifts were half working during our stay due to them being swapped out due to age and parts availability which slowed down getting in and out of the hotel, but this can't be helped and will be better in the long run for future stays. The hotel is in a great location for everything and a short walk to the beach which you can see from the balcony.

Staying at The Star was an overall good experience, only fault that I had was the pool areas were overly busy and no seats were ever available even despite going to the pool early at 8:30am. We found people would put down their towels, leave and then come back later. Makes it a bit difficult to enjoy ...

The staff were lovely and the customer service was superb in all manners. Rooms were such a perfect size and housekeeping made up for a small mistake in a very courteous way. Look forward to staying here again :)
