"Everything was great. From the hosts Douglas and his mother were amazing. Perfect location. Everything is walkable or 10 minutes by buggy. The included breakfast was prepared fresh to order by the chef. We were extremely happy with our experience here. The people are so friendly and welcoming. Plus the charm of this place being so small was great. The pictures shown on here don't do it justice. It's a fairly new property but don't hesitate to book here! "

"Cute and well located inn, with very friendly service. Excellent restaurant (Xica da Silva) and convenience store just down the street. You are quick taxi ride to all beaches so there is no need to rent a buggy. The mattress and pillows were covered in rubber protective casings which was odd. There is no WiFi or cell signal at this pousada or on the island, so be ware of being stuck without internet. All in all, this is a nice bed and breakfast but is too pricey for what you get."

"Beautiful place and the staff were amazing!!!! The food at breakfast and in the dinner menu is 1000%. The beach is a 3 minute walk so we couldn’t ask for more !"

"Pousada muito bem localizada, excelente cafe da manhã, os quartos poderiam ser um pouco mais espaçosos e o chuveiro melhor, mas no geral achei o custo beneficio excelente! O grande destaque da pousada pra mim foi o atendimento, fomos tratados com muito carinho e atenção. Henrique vc é maravilhoso! Lybia mto atenciosa, as funcionarias do cafe da manhã e da limpeza sempre com um sorriso no rosto, fazendo de tudo para que nos agradar! Os funcionarios foram exepcionais, sem palavras para agradecer tanta atenção e carinho conosco! Mesmo se eu não tivesse gostado da pousada eu voltaria só por causa do atendimento!"

"A pousada é maravilhosa, desde antes de chegar o Rafa e Max já fizeram contato conosco e foram nos guiando para uma chegada tranquila. O checkin foi agradável com todas as informações claras. A estrutura é ótima, tudo novo, bem decorado, acolhedor, quartos organizados, com produtos de qualidade. Café da manhã delicioso, caprichado, muito bem apresentado e com muitas opções. "This property is way overpriced for the quality of the service, the space , the whole experience. We were under the impression we were staying at a luxury remote space with very quick access to beach. We were sorely disappointed with how small the rooms were how we were taxed and charged for every little thing / even coffee for our room. We were underwhelmed with the service, quality of care to the guests. We would not recommend this hotel as we are now staying at another hotel that is chapter with much larger room, much better food, service, amenities etc."

"This hotel is a bit rustic, but overall it’s a nice place to stay. One big plus is the gym — not many hotels on the island have one — so that was great to have. There’s also a decent pool and an on-site restaurant, which made things convenient. The staff is very friendly and genuinely tries to be helpful. Every day around 5 p.m., they offer a complimentary tea time with tea, coffee, and small island treats, which is a really thoughtful touch. The breakfast buffet has a good variety of options, and we enjoyed it. There was one small issue during our stay: when I asked for extra shampoo and more cups, there seemed to be a language barrier and the items never arrived, which was a bit frustrating. Aside from that, we had a nice stay and a good overall experience. "

"My husband and l are from the USA and stayed for one week in February 2026 in a room with a king size bed and ocean views. I was very nervous about going to a remote island with no chain hotels or known car rental agencies. The island businesses are completely run by locals using whatsapp. Mar em Mim had only 12 reviews at the time l made the reservation, so it was kinda risky, but l it had everything l wanted. I was so pleasantly surprised. The pousada (bed & breakfast) was exactly as pictured and the workers there are lovely. The location was great too, very quiet but just a few steps from the bus stop. We rented a car but ended up regretting paying R$600 per day while one bus ride was R$5. Our stay was exquisite and l cannot give enough praises to the entire staff. My husband is lactose intolerant and they made lactose free desserts for him every day! The breakfast was yummy, the guy managing the reception (Will) speaks english and is extremely helpful, the room had air conditioning, the king bed was comfy and the high speed wifi internet worked fine. I hope this will help other visitors make their decision. I’d definitely stay there again!"
