This was the first time I stayed in a Red Roof Inn in ND and it was disappointing. Something of a given in hotel/motels is that rooms have a directory of services, a local map, and a Gideon's Bible. The Bible was here, but not the other two, and when I asked at the desk the clerk said "It's not a requirement and we don't have them." and made no other offer of assistance. Later, she did call a cab for me when I asked.
Interior soundproofing is a joke. I had a ground floor room some 40' from the reception desk and perhaps 80' from the pool and cavernous sounds boomed and echoed all night long. The occupant of the room next to mine was loud, tuning up at 0230 my first night, and 0100 my second. The first night I banged on the connecting door and after about half an hour the noise abated. Last night after banging on the door I was met with curses so I called the desk, but nothing got resolved until I angrily called a second time and someone came to the person's room which got them loud curses, too, but that finally settled down about 0300!
In-room amenities were not just scarce, but nonexistent. There was coffee but no creamer, sugar, or stirrers; no napkins or tissues; the bodywash, shampoo, and handwash dispensers were empty. I left a note at the front desk when I left for my appointments yesterday, but that elicited nothing. They were still empty when I checked out this morning...!
Expedia rates your Fargo property at 7.4 (Good). I think they are overly generous.
