Here is a swimming area with jetty and the lake offers good fishing for pike and perch. Take the opportunity and rent a rowing boat from the owner for wonderful swimming and fishing trips. This part of Sweden is called Glasriket and taking an excursion to one or more of the glassworks gives you opportunities to shop for glass in one of the outlet stores. Visit Kalmar with Kalmar Castle and cross the Öland Bridge to beautiful Öland with its large summer country. A full day excursion to Astrid Lindgren's world at Vimmerby is an appreciated excursion for the children. The archipelago islands along the coast in Östra Småland are a pleasant experience, as is the beautiful old Strandvägen to Mönsterås. The nearest service point is Fagerhult, 7 km.
