We enjoyed our stay, we swam in both pools, we did not eat but we had a large room with sea views. There was a toaster, kettle and microwave in the room. Good location, it was a 15 minute walk to the centre of Exmouth.

We had an en suite double room with kitchenette which was big and but very dated, booked room only so can’t comment on food. Room was clean and good value, use of pool and leisure facilities were included (unfortunately we didn’t have time to try it). Lovely garden, friendly helpful staff. Would stay again but probably upgrade to a sea view room next time. Great for short no frills stay.

This is a lovely hotel in a glorious location and very peaceful. The view form a sea-facing apartment is splendid. The main complaint would be that the decor and furnishings in the corridors and apartments are very old and tired - really they should have been updated/re-fitted 10 years ago. Some areas smell strongly of damp or mould. Otherwise, the convenience, pool and gym area, and having a kitchen in the apartment make this a worthwhile choice if you don't mind tired furnishings.

Night manager was very rude. No air con in the room and it was so hot. Sheets were dirty. Seats torn. Room not modernised since 70s/80s. Breakfast supposed to finish at 10:00. They told us they had packed it all away at 9:00. Won’t return.

Tired and needing a good airing, but a good space with useful amenities. Having booked 2 double rooms we were given a suite and a double room - but the suite had no hot water so everyone had to use the other bathroom. The location was great and parking easily available. Beds were quite comfortable.

I stayed for a few days in a 1 bedroom apartment with a sea view. It was on the top floor and the stairways leading to it were a bit ropey, but when I got inside I was pleasantly surprised! The apartment was dated but amazingly spacious and clean with everything I needed and more. It had a very handy kitchen area, a dining and sitting area, along with a spacious bedroom with an en-suite and a further bathroom. The view of the sea was amazing. The leisure facilities were exceptional with a lovely indoor pool, where I joined in an aquafit class and there with a Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There’s also a gym, which I didn’t use but my favourite was the heated outdoor pool. The gardens were also beautiful and there was a little gate at the end which leads to the beach. The staff were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help and I was made so welcome when I joined a group of local ladies at the aquafit class. I only had breakfast on one of the mornings but it was very tasty and great value for money. I heard rumours from the locals that the hotel is at risk but hope that isn’t the case, as I would really like to return.
