"I would love this to be our new Eugene hotel! I wish we would’ve known about The Excelsior before now! Charming; quiet; secure; low-tech (no 27 LED lights blinking at night, staring into my sleepless eyes); courteous and helpful staff; delicious, home-made breakfast included; competitive pricing; and classical music themed rooms. "This is a terrific place in a very centrally located part of the city. The only issue we had was no ADA accessibility- at least none we could locate. It's a 24-stair walk up to the apartments and that's great if you are young, healthy and can lug a giant suitcase up 24 stairs. Being a skoch older and with major back issues, it was very taxing. Outside of that, everything about the place was great. "
