Cuscatlán Stadium Tours

Estadio Cuscatlan
El Salvador’s national stadium is one of the country’s most famous sporting arenas and a performance venue for major international music artists.

Watch El Salvador’s soccer heroes play and music icons perform at Estadio Cuscatlán, one of the largest sporting arenas in Central America. This popular venue opened in 1976. Due to its size, many locals refer to it as El Coloso de Monserrat (The Colossus of Monserrat). Buy a ticket and secure yourself a seat to a soccer match. Enjoy the lively atmosphere when the stadium is filled with thousands of screaming fans.

The sporting ground is home to the El Salvador national soccer team as well as Alianza Fútbol Club and C.D. Atletico Marte, two of the country’s premier soccer sides. During its history, Estadio Cuscatlán has hosted a number of important matches, including qualifying games for the World Cup soccer competition.

Visitors can only enter the grounds if they have a ticket for a match or event. There are no public tours available. If you arrive early, note the different colored seats. Many are blue and white, to match the colors of the national side’s soccer kit.

Watch the action taking place on the pitch or get a close-up view of proceedings on the 431-square-foot (40-square-meter) LED television screen. In addition to football matches and concerts, Estadio Cuscatlán is also used for political rallies and religious and cultural events.

Outside the stadium, find the small cluster of training pitches. During the week, you may be able to see renowned soccer players being put through their paces. They train out here to preserve the condition of the stadium’s grass.

Estadio Cuscatlán is located about 3 miles (5 kilometers) south of the city center. The arena is served by several bus routes and there is free parking for several thousand vehicles. You can purchase tickets for sporting events on the day from one of the stadium’s ticket booths. Read the local press for details of upcoming concerts and other cultural events.
