B&B in Essex

"Overall the place was clean, but definitely needs some renovation. The television did nit work properly, the bathroom is outdated and the door didn’t close properly. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was also decent wifi but the choice of what to watch on the television waa quite limited with no satellite. Decent place for a short stay."

"Clean room very comfortable bed the staff were really welcoming and easy to get along with breakfast was very good the bar looked well stocked"

"Great location, great food, excellent breakfast, large spacious room"

"Nice polite landlord and super comfy bed :-))"

"Lovely small hotel with attentive staff in a country setting. Nice spacious rooms and good breakfast. Only downside was noisy plumbing due to septic tank."

"Excellent stay, friendly host, lovely breakfast."

"We have stayed at the Marlborough before on our travels in 2025 and when we retuned this year 2026 we wanted to stay again but longer this time. So glad we did everyone one was kind and friendly and new what they were doing. the pub itself and the rooms were excellent and vintage. The area of course is wonderful. All service, food and beverages top class. We plan on returning possibly next year and will likely stay even longer. Thank you."

"Great breakfast and hosts x"
