Day after day, getting up before dawn to watch the beautiful palette of colors awake over the islands.
Giant saguaro cacti were in bloom on this meandering sandy trail. In the shade of the shrubs, we witnessed the Rattleless Rattlesnake! I wonder if John Steinbeck ever came across one of these while writing his book of the region, Sea of Cortez?
The desert meets the sea in Baja, Mexico. Isla Espriritu Santo is in the Sea of Cortez, near the city of La Paz. The island is a great place to set up a base camp for kayaking, whale watching, hiking, etc.

Room was very good, and very clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, but English is a challenge for many - (my Spanish is worse). Several good restaurants close by - best is the one at their golf course - exceptional. Drink bottled water everywhere, including hotel - not tap water. Probably ...

The location was great, incredibly safe, spacious dwelling. Despite being a rental, the managing office was available for assistance and provided transportation within the marina. The access to the private beach clubs was my favorite feature.
