Horrible area, bad neighborhood, run down property, rude staff, even totally different people from when I checked in at night were rude, and nasty, and then the different guy in the morning was horrible too. Avoid this place like the plague.

Very frustrating check-in process. Upon check-in I was told I needed to pay the $100 deposit for the room in CASH. At no point was I notified I needed to pay the deposit with cash. I could not complete the check-in process until I drove several blocks away to the bank to withdrawal the money. Of course they have no ATM on their property, and the front desk clerk to me “it’s easy, just walk over to the convenient store right now and get the $100.” So she expects me to go pay the ATM fees to give her $100 cash. That’s upsurd and at no point was that expressed before check-in. And the receipt showing I have the $100 deposit in cash was a written receipt. It all felt very sketchy. I did get my $100 back when I checked out, but they didn’t even verify the room was good before giving my money back.. so what’s the point of the deposit anyways?

I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this might be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. You get what you pay for? The parking lot was full of people (homeless?). I was kinda nervous to walk to my room. There was also a pile of clothes right there in the parking lot. A police car drove by so I knew this was shady. My room smelled like pee by the bathroom. Seriously, I was so tired I decided to just spray some Cologne in the air. The remote control for the tv didn’t work so no tv for me. The room was clean, but there was a cigarette burn hole on the outside bed spread and on the white sheet. Bed was hard. What do you expect for $80? The next eight I stayed at the holiday inn express (client paid( and it was like staying at a 5 Star hotel compared. My advice….pay the extra $$ and stay the Holiday Inn Express by the in and out burger. Totally worth it. The man at the front desk was very kind!

I only stayed one night here, but this is one of my favorite places to stay in Escondido so far. Room rates seem to fluctuate a lot w hotels, even the same day of the week might go for a different rate down the road; but this was very affordable for a weekend. I wish they had a spa or jacuzzi.. it’s nice that they do have a pool, however. The room was really nice and clean and besides the queen bed, it had a pull out/sleeper couch w a coffee table, plus another seating area. The only other draw back is that there’s no easy way to stop the tub for a bath- there’s no open drain but the drain is covered by a grate w holes. But it’s otherwise worth it if they keep it affordable; they even had various cable channels (not all of the affordable places have that anymore, some just have local channels or the option to set up your own device, if it’s a smart tv)

So you have to walk to get food and bus station which was not so bad but hotel room looked like person before us had a dog there was dog hair on floor and bed also a persons piercing was left on floor in bathroom towels look dirty and not a good feeling to dry with dirty looking towels staff cleaning people ok manager doesn’t understand English well so that’s not good when conversation g with him not a good look choice hotels would I stay here again only if I had to

Basic needs were met. The lobby staff were very curt, bordering on rude. No greetings were made, and requests for assistance were met with silence or a snappy attitude. They did the things I requested, so I would rate the experience fine. No one will try to go above and beyond. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. I booked a non-smoking room, so that was disappointing.

The room was not very clean. The bathroom had a poop stain on the seat and then there was a cockroach in the room. Then the sheets were dirty and the towels. We asked to get them replace and the room clean but it was still not good. Then there was no breakfast area as advertised. We bought some cleaning products and that helped with the room. It was okay after that except for the roach part.
