"I loved my stay here! I will absolutely stay here again when I visit Escalante. The property was private and quiet, and the owners are a delight! The yurt I stayed in was way more comfortable, clean, and nicer than a hotel. It is just a unique experience that I definitely recommend!"

With so many of the natural parks surrounding, this is a great place to use to experience them as a family.

Once things to note - there isn't a lot of eating options nearby (there are a few in escalante just not a lot like a big city) so bringing some of your own food may be helpful during your stay. They do have a small grocery store though which can help

Cute little western town with very friendly people. Had a nice grocery store and plenty of food options. Breakfast options were nill before 8 am so bring your own food if you want to hike early. Escalante Outfitters food was AEWESOME.

Very small friendly town. The activities around escalante are numerous, just be prepared before arrival since some activities are a good distance away and cell service drops off outside of the town.

Being our first time to Escalante, it was a nice little town with lots of mom and pop shops. They close early though, so get there in time to select what you want.

If you take the time to drive around it's interesting to see various historic properties. Recommend Magnolia cafe for coffee and breakfast

Great are for hiking but many trailheads require quite a long drive on dirt roads which can vary greatly from minute to minute.

Very small town, but very friendly. Escalante Outfitters has amazing pizza and ambiance. Cache Canning Company was a fun place to have ice cream at night and play with their dog.

Not much in Escalante, but this is a good base for hiking and exploring if the area is in your list.
"Admittedly, I've passed through Escalante time to time and it never seemed more like a one night stop. But I was so impressed with how much of a central place to so many cool things.
But in order to have a good basecamp, you don't want to stay at a motel that peaked decades before. I thought the reviews were solid for Circle of Destination and they were right. The room was comfortable, I liked how much more spacious the room was compared to other hotels of comparable price. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.
I loved that I can park my Vespa (we were on a scooter club trip) right in front of the room. It made loading and unloading easy. I loved how simple check in was-- I got an email with my room number and my room code.
We went to the restaurant next door for breakfast and that's got to be some of the best pancakes I've had in a long time. Circle of Destination can be a destination on its own. For me, it's now a new basecamp for me and adventures along Highway 12. I'm kicking myself for not staying longer!"
"You definitely need your own transportation, there’s one restaurant that had really good food the Outlook, the property itself was wonderful nice relaxing Jan and Scott had breakfast for us every morning. It was very helpful of what to see while you were there.. I definitely recommend driving to Burr Canyon. "
"Ofland was a great experience! It is clear that they take care of the property and really want to make sure guest are taken care of. Airstream was perfect and the bathrooms/outdoor showers were amazing. "
"This is an older hotel, but was fixed up nicely. It's quirky in a good way! Loved the decor, very casual. We had a suite, which is two rooms. My wife and I each had our own bed and TV. The TV in my room didn't work, but we called the front desk and they came to the room and quickly got everything working. Very easy check in and out. Would definitely stay here again. We recommend this hotel!"
