"This is a great place to stay with a family. It is quiet, safe, and friendly. We loved the pool overlooking the sea and snorkelling/spotting sea creatures in the reef in front of the hotel. We paid a bit extra for a beach view but I think all the rooms would have a nice view as itā€™s quite small. The provided breakfast at Cafe Vila is excellent. It is close to the Port Vila and a very short and easy bus journey to get there. Pick up for activities is super easy. I highly recommend booking a massage (or two!) at the seafront spot where staff from Volcanic Earth spa can be booked onsite. The view is to die for and easily the best massage Iā€™ve ever had. Iā€™d also recommend packing reef shoes and snorkelling gear if you have them. One thing to be aware of is there is no long ā€˜sandyā€™ beach for walking on. I think this is similar to most places in Vanuatu where there is lots of reef, but coming from NZ where Iā€™m used to beach walking it was something I hadnā€™t planned for/thought of."
