We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel-Bellevue-Terminus. The hotel has only recently been refurbished and everything is exactly as it appears in the photographs. The standard double room is large enough for two people for a few days. One minor drawback is that the double bed we had was really two single mattresses which had been pushed together. The double bed also has Scandinavian style separate single duvets, which may or may not be to your taste. There is a comfortable lobby area where you can relax around a fireplace and a secure area for leaving ski equipment. The location is ideal and offers views of the Titlis mountains, it is also located next door to the train station, opposite the ski shuttle stop and near to Engelberg's restaurants and shops.Breakfast was very good and available until 12 at weekends. Reception staff were polite and helpful, offering free bottled water and a luggage storage service.
The only major problem we had was the service we received in the restaurant. On the first night we had to wait 10 minutes before being seated, and were only given a table because we asked directly for one. We then had to wait again for a menu. Perhaps another 10 minutes for our order to be taken and another 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Again we only received these because we went to the bar to enquire directly about them. Overall, great hotel, with the exception of the dining experience, stay there, but eat across the road at the Brasserie Konrad instead.
